White socks the best for us!This white socks propaganda must end. Stoke and Southampton have white socks more than we do, don't they? Somebody do some research into this. #BlackSocksMatter

I get that. But we used to do a solid background behind the black number back in the early 1990's and some of the eighties. Now it seems it's either a full solid back or stripes but the mbets difficult to read. I don't get it myself.I was one of them and I only voted for it cause I like the retro look of a solid square on the back for the number but there was no option for that!

Stoke don’t really come into it as they are White Shorts White Socks. They are instantly recognisable because of this as they are the only team with this combo. This white socks propaganda must end. Kidderminster Harriers too.…But I’ve always had a soft spot for the Feyenoord red and white halves. That would be radical, but fairly unique (Soton couple of times) to England.
Always said we missed a trick not having a red away shirt when we had the white anniversary shirt as our home shirt. Was literally the only chance we will have of doing it.
We also did in 74/75 when we finished 6th in Division 1. But a Sheffield United home kit should always have black shorts. One of our best season ever was 1970/71 we had white socks
You need to reign that imagination of yours in, fella. It will land you in bother one of these days.Like the majority I've always preferred black shorts but I'm now wondering whether it would be worth experimenting what navy or midnight blue shorts would look like in a Blades kit?

Maybe for an away pre season friendly. And then decide it was a bad idea. Not even as a one off then?![]()

Universes apart. Almost in different dimensions.Black vs a deep blue are hardly worlds apart from each other though![]()

Blue shorts with red and white shirts are just one of those things that should never happen. Like putting pineapple on a pizza, dirty and disgusting. We did wear them during our first 5 years as a club.
I still wouldn't want the socks in navy though, my preference has always been white for those.
