1️⃣ Earliest point a team has been relegated in English league football history;
2️⃣ Still on course to be the first team to be relegated with a negative points tally;
3️⃣ No Steel City Derby victory in 14+ years;

But because we fucked the start of the second half, it'll all be about how they "held us" to only a 2-1 win.

Play like that against Coventry and we'll lose. Got to be up for every game now and not relent, at all....unlike today after going 2 up. Thought we held back and should have been 3 or 4 up by the interval but no, sit back. Playoffs? Still not convinced it's realistic.
The same issue from last season is still there. The drop offs, not managing games properly, fitness issues, inconsistent and yes, sitting back.

Unless there's a change in that we've no right to consider being in the PL right now.

I'm still struggling to process what I've just watched to be honest.

What the hell was going on in added time when we were trying to attack?

Campbell took the most pathetic, limp dick shot I've ever seen.

Like a bunch of guys warming up taking pot shots at an academy player who was stood in goal.

It didn't even look like a game of professional football by the end.

It’s how they save face. You almost feel sorry for them

Philips is barely a yellow thought it at the time. even better on the replay ingelsson goes for a ball he knows he was always going to be 2nd for. it wasnt even a 50/50. phillips cleared that ball way before ingelsson on the scene

if anything phillips catches him because ingelsson was so late

referee changed the momentum of the match. with that poor decision & surprising considering all the dirty tricks they were deploying

That kind of tackle is always a red these days with VAR, and if the ref has a good view of it, like he did today, without VAR as well. You just can't go into 50/50s with your feet off the ground and players have to know that by now.

We lost an opportunity to really hammer them today. It was almost too comfortable first half, they never looked anything like threatening and I think that’s why we dropped off.

When we pushed forward it looked like we could score every time and really should have gone for it for the full 45 to put them to bed, then the first 15 mins of the second half don’t happen.

Once Philips was sent off, we were a bit shaky for a while but once we made changes, were pretty comfortable.

That said we should have finished them off after their sending off, bit more composure and it’s 4 or 5.

Worst thing is Philips missing for 3 games as he looked levels above first half. Peck had a great game also. So much better when he’s attacking.

Not sure it’s barely a yellow but I get your point and I don’t think it’s a red. How is he supposed to stop his leg from going forwards after he has committed to the tackle. It’s impossible unless you are looking just to block. Once he’s won the ball he isn’t even looking at Ingelsson.

They were the absolute worst side I've ever seen so they were, we did miss a chance to beat the boxing day massacre which has annoyed me somewhat, but WE RELEGATED THEM IN FEBRUARY NOT CHANSIRI so we did of course context doesn't matter! That side they put out today wouldn't get out of League Two.

It's a red card all day long as most people have agreed with.

Completely unnecessary to put your foot into a challenge like that and invite the referee to send you off.

Braindead decision making from Phillips.

It's a red every day and twice on Sundays.

If you are going into a tackle in such a way that you are unable to prevent your leg going into the opponent in a dangerous manner, then the clue is to either not make the tackle, or tackle differently. Go in like he did and no amount of "won the ball" whining which might have flown in 1974 but not today will work

Dirtiest team I've seen on a long time, constantly hacking our lads down and definitely targeted Cal.
Ref should have stamped it out.

Exactly this

I'm not going to pretend to be satisfied with that

From an incredibly rare opportunity we took only the bare minimum in the circumstances

Phillips can go fuck himself

Wilder wasn't much better. His changes castrated us and we end up wasting time in the corner

Wednesday will be absolutely delighted with that and understandably so

Delighted with a loss and relegated by their rivals 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Think that was Soumare. He always does that when he shoots.

opinions thats what makes football great & we all be on different sides PeterNdlovu081 espoo blade jt64

for me phillips hasnt gone for 50/50 ball. as phillips proves he passed the way before ingelsson gets close. it think it was outcome of sheer desperation from him

what is the outcome going to be when any player is 2nd to the ball & that late

I don't agree it should be red, but that's the way it is and the players have to adapt. 🤷‍♂️

Just watched it back and I have to agree with you, harsh red, quite how you stop your leg swinging after clearing the ball is beyond me!

Then again I'm an old cnut🙄 and that tackle/clearance wouldn't have raised an eyebrow back in my playing days.
Game gone 😐
