Now we’re playing 2 up top Cannon will score. As you said Campbell can’t do 3 games in a week, Ings can’t seem to get a goal & Bamford is finding fitness. He’s the fittest, most mobile and most likely to be able to cope with 3 game weeks out of all the strikers we’ve got (not seen enough of One to compare him)
If we want to press high up the pitch it doesn’t make sense to just play Campbell up there on his own. While being the best finisher and most explosive we’ve got he’s bigger built than the others and doesn’t have their stamina
He also strikes a very clean ball with both feet a complete number 9 he isn’t hopefully for us he’s a confidence player and now both he and the side seem to be gaining some he might grow into an assetHis movement is very good and was last season. He plays on the shoulder without having outstanding pace, but that doesn't matter provided the ball is played when he wants it as he times his runs so well. It's frustrating watching him make these runs only for the bal to often not arrive. If it does (ala pigs miss) and he doesn't score that's on him. He isn't messing about, he's making the killer runs. The rest of his game is far more open to question, but he looks better in a two and even linked play quite well at times Vs Pompey when PB went long (it was mainly the other way around). His pressing is also improving. He's still a young lad so I don't see the value in panicking and giving him away. I can see why he gets goals. He makes the killer runs and he gets his shots off.
No- if it’s only 5m we keep him. If it’s nearer 8m then it’s worth thinking about. Personally I’d keep himSo the big question now is if someone comes in with a 5m bid do we take it and reinvest in a decent big man ?
Tough question as he seems to be hitting form and we can see he has something about him but what's his strength? Its not speed, its not his hold up play (although not bad), its not aerial ability and we cant really say hes a clinical finisher but could he become one?
for me cannon needs a big physical striker alongside him only then will we see the best of him hes more like a fox in the box type running the channels and reacting to flick ons which a good target man would give us as well as holding the ball up for us as carl asaba eluded to yesterdayHe's doing well at the moment and working hard but I'd like to see him increase his physical strength a fair bit.
A few times today he was knocked off the ball all too easily. I know he's not the fastest or biggest, physically, but if he improved this element of his game I think it'd also help to boost his confidence.
Keep going Tom, lad.

That would mean dropping Campbell. Tje only way I see us signing that target man is if we sell or dont extend Bamfords contract. . At present we have Campbell, Cannon, Bamford and Ings (plus One who is think will be loaned out). Those 4 players will be taking up a massive amount of wages so one will have to go to finance a target manfor me cannon needs a big physical striker alongside him only then will we see the best of him hes more like a fox in the box type running the channels and reacting to flick ons which a good target man would give us as well as holding the ball up for us as carl asaba eluded to yesterday
No one will pay anything upfront In my opinion
Be a loan to buy at best
Just isn't the money in the championship for anyone to pay us an even moderate fee for him
We play one of his former clubs on Saturday, so there is every chance of it happening then.Got to keep him. Seems like playing him in a two up top is really helping him. The question now is when he will score his first goal at Bramall Lane?
after saturday dropping campbell is a distinct possibility once again looked lazy and not prepared to run the channels maybe hes not fit i dont know but wilder was going mad at him on the touchline and knill had to calm him down yes bamford has come in but i still think we need a physical target manThat would mean dropping Campbell. I think Campbell is scared of his violin string hamstrings going again. The only time he gets to top pace is when hes chasing a ball with a chance on goal.after saturday dropping campbell is a distinct possibility once again looked lazy and not prepared to run the channels maybe hes not fit i dont know but wilder was going mad at him on the touchline and knill had to calm him down yes bamford has come in but i still think we need a physical target man
well weve got cannon ings and bamford use campbell from the bench and bring him on after 65/70 minutes if hes not fully fit but still think we need a target man in januaryI think Campbell is scared of his violin string hamstrings going again. You can tell this by the way he runs with very straight legs to avoid stretching his hamstrings. Its a real pity as he got all tje attributes to be a top strikers except durability

im sure wilder will see it that way as well although campbell tested his patience saturday at leicesterHim and Campbell together then. Both playing their former club.
