Was the German club Werder Bremen who were considering making a bid also? Because they are close to signing Schmidt from Leeds who is a right back

Yeh it was Bremen but could have been others as well

The game is PAFOS FC - CRVENA ZVEZDA not Red Star Belgrade and it's on Cypriot TV CYTA Vision Sports but it looks like it's also on TNT Sports on Discovery+

Should be a good game

Unsure if you're joking?

"CRVENA ZVEZDA" is Serbian for "Red Star"

It's the same team. The English Translation has always put Belgrade afterwards although they're technically called "Red Star FC"

Let’s wait and see I’m not convinced. We’ve signed Godfrey to be our first choice right back 🤷‍♂️
Godfrey is primarily a CB who can play RB isnt he? Him and Tanganga could be a good partnership but we still need another RB

i would have thought same godfrey and tanganga as our first choice centre backs with bindon and mee as back up having said that i wouldnt be adverse to us going to a 3412 set up godfrey bindon/mee tanganga as the 3 centre backs seriki and burrows as wingbacks soumare and new midfielder as the 2 and hamer behind campbell and ings

They've been Crvena Zvezda for at least 15 years I'd say.
As i say, thought they'd just disappeared after the Balkans conflict, always wondered what happned to them. Remember they reached one of the euro finals in the 90's

Red Star is one of those clubs that has a different name in every language/country. Estrella Roja de Belgrado, Étoile rouge de Belgrade, Roter Stern Belgrad, etc.

They were the European Champions in 1991 just at the start of the Balkan wars. Recently I was in Belgrade and visited the stadium and museum etc. I also saw the remains of one of the buildings struck by the USA/UK looked like a wrecking ball had knocked half the building and left. Enjoyed all the sightseeing via completely free public transport, buses , trams and local trains even from the airport about 40 mins away.
