He’ll get more than the quoted 6 points off the GBE calculators on the web, which doesn’t include cup runs (malmo came 2nd), euro qualifications (no data) and it will be based off 24 months and not 12 for under 21’s.

We can only have 4 ESC players at the club. This player (and most non-British players who play in the Swedish leagues) aren't eligible for a GBE.

Loaning them out doesn't free up a ESC slot.
Weirdly it counts as an ESC slot in both the loaner and the loanee.

Of course, and if he was sat with a Swedish flag wrapped around him with a giant red curtain in the background then we wouldn’t be asking these questions either. But for now it was just a rumour posted by a journalist - so it’s worth at least discussing if it’s even possible or not

Yes but in the short term it keeps us fans happy after losing Anel that we are actually looking to spend some money on a player.
Then we tried but those pesky regulations.

Lots of assumptions here, looking at the reactions, that if we are interested then that automatically means he will be cleared and he will be starting

It might be that they are using the money raised and they might not automatically get the clearance but still want to sign him and then bring him over once there are no stumbling blocks
