No we still use up one of our slots.

Under 21’s have slightly different GBE criteria to over 21’s. It’s referenced (fairly poorly) in the FA document. It takes into account youth team appearances, youth competitions, and has a much shorter qualifying windows (12 months over 24 months for a senior)

I think if he gets over 10 points we’d have a decent shout with the exceptions panel and him being called up as a senior international. However the exceptions panel has been scaled back and in essence replaced by the ESC pathway, so I’m not sure it would be a quick decision (Saturday)

Sorry you’re right. You can sign however you can only register 4 in your squad for the season. We won’t be registering all the 4 we have at the moment and one is MIA

That was my understanding as well. You can only have 4 players in your squad at any one time covered by an ESC.

This is where multi club ownership comes to the fore as you could just transfer one of the current 4 to one of the other clubs freeing up a space.

Is it not 4 per season? So Cacares and Nwachukwu would be last season (maybe even Ukaki since he signed mid June) and then we’re allowed 4 more in 25/26 (the RB and Soumare so far)?

No as I understand it you're allowed 4 ESC slots in total unless they gravitate to GBE status by playing enough games for their country or enough games for the club they belong to. Then a slot opens up.

Seems to have been a fairly regular starter from Aug 2024 to Jan 2025 then apart from 5 games end of April/start of May 2025 seems to have been dropped to the bench where he sometimes comes on and sometimes is an unused sub.
