Injuries

Souza has been unlucky with some of the yellows he has picked up, the one on Saturday at Luton being very harsh. I would argue that it was not even a foul, yet he was cautioned for it. He will always pick up lots of "unlucky" ones in this day and age due to the position he plays and the nonsense refereeing/rules that are in place nowadays. Anel is simply an arse at times with his bachchat and pulling back.
To be fair he makes 100 tackles a game.

Same person who told me the extent of Arblaster’s injury before it was made public.. deffo not playing on Monday. If I am wrong then you have my permission to call me a tw@t
I save that for a select few mate. I’m hoping your source is wrong but my suspicion is that you’re right.
Help him avoid a booking ban I suppose might be the only up side

I asked AI the question

Will Gustavo Hamer play for Sheffield United against Leeds on monday night

The answer was.

Regarding the match against Leeds United, there is no official confirmation of a fixture between Sheffield United and Leeds United on Monday night. The most recent encounter between these two teams occurred four months ago, resulting in a 2-0 victory for Leeds United at Elland Road.
For the latest updates on fixtures and player availability, it's advisable to consult official club communications or reputable sports news outlets.

Social media latest is that he's out for 2/3 weeks.
Though CW is confident he will be available for Monday night.
There is no game on Monday night.

In't the internet brilliant. 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂

Seem to recall Wilder saying today that Hamer is coming along nicely and they'll give him as long as possible to be fit or something like that which I seem to recall each time he's said that on a player in the past the player in question didn't play!

He does it virtually every week

There is literally zero point listening to Wilder on injuries. He loves to play that game (although I fail to see many opposing managers falling for it?).

The interview with Moore before the Wednesday game was hilarious - Souttar could hardly stop himself laughing as Moore had obviously been sent out to talk bollocks.

I hope I’m wrong but I’d be very surprised if Hamer is back on Monday. It’s very rare to see players not even make the bench a week earlier suddenly in the starting lineup. And hamstrings are brutal - 2/3 weeks from now, so a month in total, seems realistic but still quick for mild hammy pull.

I just hope we do the sensible thing and keep our best lineup (Peck, Souza, O’Hare, JRS all starting) and simply replace Hamer with BBD. It’s a downgrade, but not a huge one.

I am still perplexed as to why anyone thinks we have some kind of entitlement to know exactly when players will be back? I appreciate that we have been through the wringer with injuries in recent time, but it does seem to be a stick that folk are using to beat Wilder with this season.

On almost every occasion, injuries are the first question area that comes up. He has to say something, but what do we expect him to say ahead of such a big game? "No Gus is fucked, so we go into this one without our best player." We may as well ask him for a sneak peak of the team sheet whilst we are at it. Are people basing decisions on whether to attend due to injuries or something? Otherwise I can't see much benefit in knowing in advance.

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder is confident that Gustavo Hamer will be available for the match against Leeds United on Monday night. Hamer, along with Kieffer Moore and Tom Cannon, missed the recent victory over Luton Town due to a fatigued hamstring, but Wilder mentioned that they are "ticking along nicely" and will be given as long as possible to prove their fitness2.

It looks promising for Hamer to make a return for this important fixture. Are you excited about the match?

I am.
A clash of the top two under the lights of BDTBL is what it's all about.
Given that in August I feared we might be in a fight at the other end of the table, it's quite remarkable really.

I can't wait to be honest and it's a real pain having to wait until Monday evening.

I just hope we really have a go at them this time. UTB.
