Not a classic in terms of performance, but fuck me what a result and from an absolutely horrible game of football.

It was like playing against a team of Greco-Roman wrestlers, in a bathtub full of jelly.

Well done Blades and clear daylight on Burnley now.

Less than ideal first half second half much better I think if it didn't follow the first people wouldn't be too worked up on it.

Got it done. 3 points clean sheet and 13 games to go. With Burnley dropping points and one of Sunderland and Leeds or both doing the same that's a great three game week completed.

Won 7 of the last 8 since the window was really open.

Well well well…. Terrible game and performance but delighted with the win

He can’t be meaning to be coming close to going in at half time 3 nil down, not having that
It's such a one sided negative view to say we could have been 3-0 down. Firstly, we weren't. Secondly, we could have scored a few ourselves too. But if you want to grasp on to the negatives, go for it pal. I'll enjoy my evening safe in the knowledge we're 5 clear of third and top of the league.

Good 3 points but another poor performance. Again we went in at halftime lucky to be ahead. Completely wrong set-up once again. Pretty obvious that we would struggle to create. A bit better second half but far from convincing. Both sides missed a couple of good chances. O'Hare ended up being the difference between the teams.

Cooper - 6 - Made a few standard saves and solid on crosses.
McCallum - 4 - Had a poor game. Won a few headers but sloppy at the back.
Robinson - 6 - Had a really good battle with Morris. 50/50 between them in the end but some of his play was too sloppy.
Anel - 6.5 - Did really well for the goal and good coming forward but struggled a bit defensively against a lump.
Clarke - 5 - Better second half but once again looked poor first half. Doesn't block passes/crosses and looks like a rabbit in the headlight when a play runs down his side.
Souza - 5.5 - Not the best of games. Playing with fire a little towards the end already on a booking.
Choudhury - 6 - Like Souza, poor first half but I thought he was better in the second half when given a role of pressing the man on the ball.
Brewster - 5.5 - Did a few good things but not sure why he started when we needed more in midfield.
JRS - 5 - One really dangerous moment when he pulled the ball back but otherwise fairly anonymous.
BBD - 5 - Got in some good positions but should have scored. Not the return so far we were expecting.
Campbell - 5.5 - Always making runs but not his day.

Subs

Holding - 6 - We went to 3 at the back and his quiet assurance helped us second half.
Peck - 6 - He didn't have the same impact as midweek but he adds something we didn't have.
One - 6 - Did well when he came on. Had a header he should have done better with but caused them some problems .
Burrows - 6 - We looked much better when he came on and he got forward.
O'Hare - 7 - He had another chance where he delayed and let the defender back in but his creative flick won us the game.

Wilder. -5 - He'll no doubt claim his subs won it but once again he set us up wrong.

Got the win and that’s all that matters.

I’m sure Wilder could rest and rotate players without the performance being this bad.

Can’t start Choudhury alongside Souza again, just use Davies in midfield if he’s resting Peck.

Not sure about Doughty, but 100% on Morris. I'd love him in our team
Doughty would be fantastic on the wing. Creates the most chances in the league per 90 (by some distance) even in that crap Luton team. Plus he'd be good at tracking back and helping Burrows.

Great win, slowly took control of the games we brought more front foot players on 🔥🔥🔥

Hopefully we pick a less cowardly lineup for Leeds than the team we picked today otherwise it will cost us

And the simile of the year award goes to Stretch! That's epic! To clarify my mental image of the occasion what flavour jelly did you have in mind?

BBD who has scored two goals whilst trying to get up to speed?

Whatever your least favourite flavour is. It was that bad 🙂

Reckon the line up today was to make sure we're in the best place possible for Leeds. Its called strategy.

I didn’t watch first half but second half I thought we did well.

Luton are fighting for their lives and put a shift in and we matched them physically and won our fair share of first and second balls.

We looked the more likely to score and so it proved.

Fair play to wilder … got the team selection wrong again but made changes early and got us back in it which he has been reluctant to do before

If Wilder shits himself again against Leeds, like he did in the first game, were in trouble.

He's definitely changed. In 2019 we were front foot all day long. Remember the Brentford home game anyone?

Post flounce he's set up to sneak a win then defend like buggery. Effective but boring.

I’d agree with you regarding today as we haven’t been great if it was a stand alone post. You just seem to overwhelmingly post negatively about the team, manager, fans or just Sheffield in general.

If that’s what makes you happy and you like to vent then crack on. Not played well today but a win and 3 points. Sheffield double I’m sure we can agree is a nice top to the weekend
It's not a stand alone performance though, is it?
The quality and entertainment factor is zero in almost every game despite having quality and entertaining players. So there can only be one reason for the boring, pathetic, mind numbing crap that Sheffield United fans have to watch almost every week.

A season in the Championship for a club relegated from the Premier League should at least see ENTERTAINING PLAY regardless of anything else, there should be players who are a cut above the Championship and show it on a number of occasions instead of having to scrap and brawl our way to boring results week after week.

It should at least be a chance to tweak a few things, to try to get some kind of entertaining pattern to our play to become a better Premier League club if we go back up again.
But no, win boring, draw boring, lose boring is always the first thing on Wilder's mind, and the Prem will be just as big an embarrassment as it has been previously if we go up, indicating that the manager and the club in general never learns fuck all
