Genuinely don't understand why people don't want him.

That 2nd goal in the clip. O'Hare plays those through balls 4 or 5 time in a game. Moore just stops cos he can't get onto them.

Then his 4th. Moore would take 4 touches before laying it off backwards.

I'm very happy if Cannon signs.
In fairness Moore "can't get onto them" may be because he's being playing in pain with a hernia. Apart from that observation we need to support the recruitment team and and I am happy if Cannon signs.

Stick this on the unveiling video. Beat anything Burnley can do.

There's a fair bit of failing to see the wood for the trees here. Cannon is a talented lad. Whether he's £13million worth of talent remains to be seen. But, because of multiple factors, we've seen fit to submit an offer (allegedly) totalling that amount. And I reckon there's a very good chance that in our current team, he can justify that price.

He's bagged a reasonable return at Stoke, who have shown themselves to be relatively lacking creatively.

We have overall, struggled to create chances too. However, with Campbell in the side (mobile, eye for goal, composed in the box), we were looking the best we had all season. Cannon appears to be a player cut from a similar cloth.

High work rate, decently mobile, bit of strength about him. Such a good striker of the ball that Stoke put him on free kicks (and he scored at least one of those for them). Pretty clinical from open play (6 non-penalty goals from 5.8 non-pen xG).

Our midfield will benefit from him offering an option in behind, compared to how things often play out currently. We far too frequently, are forced into moving the ball backwards from advanced wide positions, slowing down play, and allowing opposing defences to get into shape. With a focal point offering runs in behind (as Campbell has done), we can penetrative backlines more swiftly, and create more clear chances as a result.

I'm very hopeful that Cannon can come into our side and thrive as a central striker. He seems to have all the attributes that we are currently lacking.

Agree, good post, regards valuations it depends on the circumstances of a particular team.
For most Championship teams he’s no where near worth 10 million
But for us, in our situation one can easily justify why he could be worth 13 million.

Campbell was on a streak while Souza and Souter held the spine of the side together
Allowing players such as Hamer etc to play with a little more freedom

Isidor has scored more from open play this season than Cannon, is a bigger overall threat with his pace, and he's not cost them near 13m

Sunderland look like a serious threat now, with or without Cannon. Le Fee looks likely to do very well based on this and they'll still bring more players in
Shame they didn't win that. If Burnley don't even lose that then when will they lose at home? Still not a bad result for us

Fewer goals, worse accuracy rate, fewer goals per 90 and a worse goal conversion rate than Cannon

Not as good at pens though 😬

Can't believe he took the 2nd one with the other players they had on the pitch. He looked nervy enough with the 1st

Ballsy move which backfired.

Especially considering the 1 on 1 he fluffed as well. Had a bit of a stinker

It goes like this...He's scored 9 in 22 games. Four of them in one game means 5 in 21, some of which were penalties! We already have four or five players with that kind of strike rate. Campbell's is better due to him not having played anywhere near that number. Cannon's rate is on a par with Hamer, who is a midfielder who hasn't yet taken any penalties.
And of course, anyone can score penalties - except Kieffer Moore and Wilson Isidor - 😄

Same way both times is a bad choice missing the first

I mean to be fair it is simple psychology to put a second pen the same place as the first when the first was epically shit. They'll never see it coming

He should have blasted that 2nd pen straight down the middle. Chances are the keeper is going to dive, and he is far less likely to stop it with his feet.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned but when brum paid ~15m for stansfield, it will have had an effect on the market. ‘If fulham can get that then we can get a similar fee.’
