"4 goals in one game" - fair enough, but they were very good goals that I don't think any of our lads get.

Created one of the goals he didn't score by pressing the GK into a mistake.
Won a penalty and bagged it. Tucked it away right into the corner.. keeper no chance.
Scored direct from a FK.
Two really well placed finishes off his weaker foot. One after a great run in behind the defence. Hamer & O'Hare will find those runs.

You don't think Campbell gets any of them? Apart from these four, he's hit 5 in 21...3 of which were penalties!

Free kick was a belter as well, power beats the GK even though it looked like he got a hand to it, he wasn't stopping that.

I forgot they signed Sam Gallagher in the summer as well, questionable injury record in the last few years but he's always been good at championship level.

I would imagine having read some stuff online that the headline figure is

£7 million to cover what LC paid Everton

£3 million in add ons to cover the sell on clause LC had

So from a Leicester stand point that makes sense although they make a £0 return but they don’t make a loss either

Could be wrong like
I think sell ons are normally a percentage of profit not total. So if they signed and sold for 7 mill they would not pay Everton a penny.

There’s massive potential there, only 22.

Personally have no issue in over spending on players if you can and you can manage it without getting into trouble

Why are we overspending? It's the market price. If the new owners can afford it ( and at this time we have no idea) then it's not a problem.

3 reyt goals and a penalty to boot!
13mil? Fooking bargain!
Gerrim in!! 🔥👊⚔️

And a few other occasions where he got quick shots off before defenders could close him down
Don't worry, we'll soon coach that out of him.

"Tommy! TOMMY!!! Ney-ooow lad, ney-ooow, wots that think tha doin? Don't thee be shoitin on sight nah, jus cos thas gorra sniff o'that theer t'goyal. What yer think them two a doin aht theer on t'wing? An ovver theer on t'other wing? Thas gorra gerrit aht wide to them to play abaht wi it fer a couple o'minutes. Then thee gerraht theer and mek a little passy triangle wi em. Then gerrit aht to t'other wing to do same, til wiv weyd up t'options abaht ah wi gonna gerrit in t'box. Eeee, thas not gunna endear thisen to t'fans if thas tryin to scoo-er every time tha gets neer box. Fans want t'see us keep possession, thi like t'see thetty, fotty or so passes befoor likes o'thee gets it an as a toi-ender at goyal. No wonder Stoke were in such a bloody mess if that's wot thi were teachin thi."

If its true, then good for the club and us supporters.

The goal, rightly or wrongly, is to get to the EPL, just for the money. We all appreciate what the Championship offers but at the end of the day, to survive and progress, and not languish, we must be in the EPL fighting for our lives, at least financially.

Today is silly money time. Just look at what Haarling just got from MC... ridiculous. Its the same over the pond here in the US with American Football, Basketball, Baseball, and to a lesser extent, Hockey.

Winning in Sport = Money!

So, if we paid $8m for Cannon and he scores 15 goals in the 2nd part of the season, he will get us promoted. If he scores 0 goals, we will not be promoted.

This is the justification for paying this money: score goals, we go to EPL.

My home state of Ohio has its college football team playing in the collegiate football championship on Monday and there will be over 80,000 watching in Atlanta, plus game live on ESPN.... loads and loads of cash will pour into Ohio State and Notre Dame universities from this game plus many of these players will get multi-million $ sign on bonuses when they enter the Pro circuit at 22 years of age.

Cannon is 22.

That's the justification.... progress or languish!

eh?.......Foinavon won 🤔
True, but was a huge outsider who only won because the rest either fell or were blocked ! It was so far behind that the jockey went round the chaos and managed to keep going to the end.
If that is the track record of any of our strikers it should be fun !

Crazy to compare Haaland and Cannon.

In the past we’ve had Brewster and McBurnie dropping deep looking to pass and build up play. Even Moore often looks to pass before shooting.
So it be a novelty to have a proper striker, doesn’t think about doing much else apart from score, bit like Billy Sharp.
..and a bit like Campbell ?

Pretty easily. We’re paying 13 million for him to lead the line. When he doesn’t do that role. He finishes chances. That’s it.

Compare that with Campbell as an example. He’s scored 6 goals this season, whilst being out for a few weeks. He cost us no fee. Am I wrong in thinking he’ll have a better return, for much less of a fee?

Cannon has scored 4 goals in a single game. Where’s the rest come from? 4 penalties, and the final one?

The same Campbell that only managed to score 4 goals all season at Stoke last season?

Maybe Cannon is pretty good if he can get more goals at Stoke than Campbell managed last season?

Fair do …

If it was a % of profit then £10 mil plus add ons wouldn’t be beyond the realms of what they might ask then
