Sheffield United's bid for striker Tom Cannon has
been accepted by Leicester City.
The Blades have gone to £13 million including bonuses and are expected to speak to the forward immediately.
Cannon is still on a Premier League wage with the Foxes and has three and a half years to run. But he wants to play and could even take a cut.
United's offer is preferred to Sunderland's who wanted a loan now with a buy on promotion. They may come back with an instant deal but that is considered unlikely.
Burnley have yet to follow up an interest while Premier League clubs are also watching
developments but yet to move in.
Cannon has just been recalled from Stoke and the Potters are hoping that all of his options collapse and he returns to them on loan.

That was my point in my post, thanks Frank, for that clarification.

At the end of the day, if you don’t spend, you don’t win. It’s a chess game at best but to win you have to play the game.

It certainly helps if you have financially secure ownership and typically American ownership is that…..

I haven’t missed what he were saying. I’m saying you can’t compare what Haaland has received, to what we’re paying for Cannon. Not sure how you missed that.

People on this forum that's who. 4 pens would mean we haven't played football that's attacking and positive enough because we should have scored 4 in open play

He went on loan to PNE in January and bagged 8 in 20. A very healthy return.

It's almost as if those ones don't count isn't it?

I'd remind folk we've missed 2 penalties this season (1 in a crucial game) and also didn't manage a single goal against Portsmouth...

Cannon's just shy of a 1 in 2 record at this level and only turned 22 a few weeks ago.
He's not the finished article, but he clearly has something..

Genuinely don't understand why people don't want him.

That 2nd goal in the clip. O'Hare plays those through balls 4 or 5 time in a game. Moore just stops cos he can't get onto them.

Then his 4th. Moore would take 4 touches before laying it off backwards.

I'm very happy if Cannon signs.

I’m just questioning what he’s done thus far to label him outstanding? His record is far from outstanding
 
I remember after penalties didn't count anymore people also started to say the same for free kicks for James Beattie.

They count and also from some of the clips I've seen Cannon wins a good few of those penalties.
