Leicester can teach Southampton a thing or two about shithousing an auction there… 😁

Well played them!

Danny Hall's missus on Valentine's Evening...

"I am going to slip into something more comfortable, and I'll see YOU in the bedroom.."

Danny's reply

"Not before I have cleared that guttering out you won't"

I bet he finds a couple more "hurdles" than the guttering before him and his missus get very "fluid" with their "moving parts".......

Something we needed to be doing for Moore to get his head on the end of, crosses into box and yet, we haven't been doing that at all. This needs to change.
So do our corners which have been absolutely bobbins so far this season.
Have we even scored from a corner this season ?

The only occasion that springs to find is One's against Bristol City, but was preceded by a Souttar header and a deflection I think.

He came thru their academy 🤣

Would be amazed if Everton were genuinely in for him, unless of course they had clauses built into the original deal that took him to Leicester meaning they could get him back on the cheap.

Having said that, Leicester need cold hard cash for PSR.

100% this.

There’s a lot of balanced views with statistics to back up opinions.

Some of the people desperate to sign him will have barely watched him play and assume because he’s got a £10m price tag he must be a world beater

Some are just desperate for us to spend something and sign someone.

A lot of the people saying just sign him are the same faces predicting we’d spend fuck all and are the first to throw their toys out the pram when we miss out on a target.

Football is brilliant because it divides opinions of which everyone’s entitled to one.

No one’s saying don’t spend. We all want some excitement in the window and to smash everyone in the second half of the season.

People are entitled to wonder if he’s the best use of £10m. Yes it’s a drop in the ocean compared to promotion but only takes applying that logic a few times and your millions in the hole. We don’t want to spend £10m on someone for it not to work out and we end up in a position where we’re looking to loan him out in 12m time wishing we’d got another £10m to spend on someone else.

There were people desperate to sign £20m Brewster and now they’re all desperate for him to walk away free.

You can be concerned about the value for money but still back wilder and the player too. It’s not a black and white scenario
It’s just where the market is at now though isn’t it. Any player with a track record of scoring goals at the level or above is going to cost at least that.

As a comparison Newcastle paid a similar fee for Osula and he wasn’t even proven at this level.

Seems to me that Leicester bought him from a bang average Championship side thinking that he'd be a superstar once surrounded by quality players.
They quickly figured that he was not good enough to be starting in a top-end champ team, and too poor to be included in a prem squad.
Are we about to make the same mistake?

Needs must at the time - the sale of Osula allowed us to keep the likes of Hamer, Souza and Blaster

But

If the take over had happened in the summer I think Osula would’ve been a better option than Cannon. Just because Campbell is the supreme finisher, Moore is the target man and Osula could’ve been raw pace power and unpredictably with a potential higher ceiling.

Osula has the attributes to make it to a higher level than Cannon imo just because of his pace power and stature.

I think we immediately need better in the summer if we want to stay up. (If we even get up that is)

They bought him from Everton. He was on loan at Preston.

Doubt Leicester would sell to a relegation rival anyway

Give Me Sport are usually clickbait merchants so I'd wait for someone reputable to come out about this
have to say nerdy although we disagree on cannon i certainly wouldnt be paying 13m for him for me 5m with add ons maybe if we go up or the number of goals he gets us would be the deal for us

This JTW is mad.

I think I need a stiff drink after all these shenanigans.

Hopefully the Everton thing is nonsense and if it's not nonsense then hopefully Leicester won't sell a striker to a relegation rival anyway

One Sunderland fan site saying he went for talks there yesterday. No idea how reliable that is whether its a SUW type site or just a lonely bloke in his bedroom praying for more subscribers

According to Stoke forum he trained with them yesterday

Bogle - overpriced.
Bogle - overpriced.
Slimane - overpriced
Traore - overpriced

Not to mention how much we underpaid for Cooper.
Overpriced in your opinion. The obvious counter is clearly not if someone deemed it worthy of paying it.

Either way it's completely irrelevant it's quite easily evidenced for most reasonable unbiased people is that we've consistently got good prices and value when we've sold players recently.

Not sure what your point is there. I was just responding to the suggestion that their season would be over if they lost one player as, in my opinion, our's would be too.

Failure to achieve promotion would probably have a significant effect on our squad too, though. I think by the end of the season the one player we might be struggling to keep hold of could be Cooper. His reputation is growing and they'll be a Prem team that are looking with good money to spend. I don't think he'll hesitate to jump up either.

utb
My point is that their gamble is predicated on Bellingham either getting them promoted, in which case they’d get a big influx of income, or selling him for upwards of £36m if they don’t get promoted. If he then got injured and they didn’t get promoted, they wouldn’t be able to recoup the money and they’d be in the shit financially.

We’re not gambling in the same way, because we’re not committing to spending money that could only be recouped on the sale of a player at a cost that is determined based on him remaining injury-free and either maintaining or exceeding his current level of performance.
