Because we have no fucker else- it’s showing now that this team was built on the cheap.
Then play to his strengths. If it is heading ability the CROSS THE BALL TO HIM. Poor set up on CW and AK. You could put Marsh up front and get the same results. Actually, Marsh would at least run into spaces.

Doesnt matter really.

Leeds, Burnley and Sunderland keep bottling it against the bottom half teams
where as we're always comfortable winning against the bottom half teams.

The league table at the end of the season is all that matters.
Like i said we always bottle it against top 6 teams

Odd (and entertaining) half.

Two errors punished by a Sunderland team who could easily have had 4. They're so quick on the counter and we're so slow and the CMs are anonymous. They look dangerous every time they counter.

Robbo is having a mare. Anel not much better.

The good news is Sunderland look really shaky at the back from corners/crosses so there are goals to be had.

Moore needs to be taken off penalty duties. He's never convincing, even when he scores. Surely Hamer can smash them?

I'm just glad we don't play teams like Sunderland who attack at pace and will go directly at you. It's like the Premier League again. And this team would be as bad as the team last season in the Premier League. We talk about hat doffing but other teams do it for us. Keep it tight and hope to catch us on the counter when I think we'd really start to struggle, with these players anyway, if teams pressed and attacked us. We're a slow team.

Again who do we have to replace him at present ? He does defend well like McB used to.
I think he is generally poor but until there is someone better then that’s what we have.
Please don’t give him another penalty to take !!
I get it, he is the one and only. But help the lad out and cross to his bonce. Otherwise rest him for another game.

One shitline and he nearly scores.
But can't work out with poor quality pics at the moment if Brewster is supposed to be playing deep or he is back to the bone idle fat lump that he was when an utter moron signed him and destroyed our finances in doing it.
It appears to be the latter and if it is he should never start again.
Brewster done ok so far.

What's so frustrating is that we are so slow when we have possession. A lot of the goals we've conceded this year have been them getting the ball forward quickly to the forwards or getting quick balls into the box. When we get the ball we slow it down so much that the opposition have time to get 11 men behind the ball. This means we have to try and score the perfect goal. It's so blatantly obvious I don't understand why Wilder et al haven't addressed it
Couldn’t agree more.We are one of the slowest teams in the championship going forward it’s no surprise that we are no longer feared by the other top teams. There was 10 mins or so where I actually thought we could have put them in the back foot.Terrible penalty again from KM,let Hamer take them at pace??
We got what we deserved after that.Peck put us under pressure again but we are so light all over the pitch that so far no way back. This could be 4 or 5 if we don’t change something quickly but they are vulnerable at the back.JTW very important if we are going up butCW needs to stop the sideways and back stuff as I’m not sure what we are waiting for to open up in front of them?

There is one big difference.... we tend to play side and back and down the sidelines... Sunderland go for the jugular through the middle... I know which option I prefer...

Hit the nail on the head.

Think Cooper has gone off the boil too these last few games. For Mackams first he was poor. Whole defence is being undone. And what does McAllum offer fa that's what. he gets the ball upfield and fucking passes it back to defending midfielders. Shame no Burrows. Dont agree with criticsms of Peck. Has picked out a few good long passes.

Probably should have taken the pen. Moore is shite at pens. Missed three/four?

Two individual errors from Robinson and Peck. Need to find a way to stop the fast break as Anel and Robbo can’t handle the pace.
Still think there’s goals in this, they also look nervy at the back.
Been impressed with McCallum and Brewster is having a decent game. O’Hare needs to stop with the flicks now.
There's an easy way to stop the fast breaks,it's by not gifting them the ball cheaply.

I thought he positively encouraged it? As Pompey used to post - Wilderball. It's bollocks, boring and largely unproductive.

Yep that's because that's how they are set up to play. It was the same at the Lane, when they get the ball they attack at speed and go straight down the middle. We've never played like that under Wilder and at times it gets frustrating with too much sideways and backwards passing

On the Cooper point, I agree that the aura he had seems to be lacking a bit in the last few games - I think the midfield gave a lot of confidence to the defence, who in turn gave a lot to the keeper. I guess a keeper can only be as calm and assured as those in front of him when it's just mistake after mistake and basic error after basic error. I think Anel has also looked more exposed without big Vini and Ollie to clear up.

Sunderland look shaky from cosses...both of them....need to bombard them with crosses, quicker crosses

Like I said we never bottle against the bottom half where as Leeds, Burnley and Sunderland always do and can't be trusted to beat crap teams.

The 1st half wasn't as we expected.
Many suggested Wilder would be negative and it would be all Sunderland attack with us relying on the break
but it's been the opposite, we've generally been the more attacking better team.

Sunderland have sat back letting us control the game, then they've relied on quick counter attacks, which to be fair has looked a good tactic.

3-1 this is gonna finish, we have reverted back to the first few games of the season where we have no idea up front, add in bomb scare, then you have the perfect combination to throwing games away.

This team needs at least 4 quality additions if the owners are serious and want to progress this club they need to pull out the cash to invest, otherwise we’re sinking down the league quickly.

We have to be realistic ! We're lucky to be where we are, I really thought it would be a relegation fight this season. Have to give them credit. Hopefully with investment we'll be contenders next season

Poor (uncharacteristically) defending tonight, otherwise we have not looked too bad
