My dads mates a villa fan and he rang last night to say apparently there allocating us 5k! Any one know any different or is this about what people expect us to get?

Should be 15% of capacity, so around of 6,000 would be available in that case.

Unless it has changed they only need to offer 10% or 3,000 whichever is lower.... so that would be 3,000.

I'm sure with us being a big draw for them, they will sell out :D

I think that is the PL rule, hence why Spurs will get 9k at Arsenal instead of the usual 3k.

So what do they have to offer us? As there average attendance is well under capacity and this is a nothing game to them, I thought they would give us what we ask for.

Edit - just checked the football ground guide and apparently they usually offer 2.9k tickets to away teams. So if they can get away with it, then I imagine they'll just offer us that. Seems that's what the Doug Ellis stand hols and it would be a ball ache to offer part of another stand.

They will probably offer us either the standard 3k or the 6k, but it will be up to SUFC whether to take (and pay for ) the higher allocation, irrespective of sales.

" 21. DISTRIBUTION OF TICKETS

(a) All Rounds Preceding the Semi-Finals

In all matches preceding the Semi-Finals, the Visiting Club shall have the right to claim up

to 15% of all accommodation for which tickets are issued providing these tickets are in a

fully segregated area, and subject to the following regulations:"

So there is a slight get out for the home club if the segregated stand isn't big enough or the away team doesn't request the full number and apparently Man. Utd. have a waiver because their ground is so MASSIVE.

This is from earlier in the rules document;

"(c) Immediately after the draw is known, the two Clubs concerned must mutually agree the

prices of admission subject to the following conditions:

(i) Except where mutually agreed otherwise the minimum admission (except to children

and senior citizens) to matches shall be:
...............................

In the Third, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Round Proper: £15.00

(ii) A higher admission charge may be mutually agreed between the Clubs concerned.

The Away Club’s spectators can only be charged more than the home team if agreed

by both clubs.

So if you end up paying more than £15, you can blame SUFC! Quite apart from the FA imposing minimum prices which I find vaguely disgusting in itself.
Btw I find charging the away supporters more than the home ones pathetic and just nasty after all they usually have the worst views in the stadium....

the only exceptions are really , on police advise , to avoid trouble , cant see that, if the grounds under going major change, thats not happening , or segregation isnt possible to within a gnats breath of 15% , well 5800 is possible so theres no case not to be , plus FA cup gates are down and they wont turn down any income

I agree, misquoting is wrong and in no way is it funny, big or clever.

Do we only get the North Stand upper tier? Will it be Villa fans on the lower tier?
Getting back on topic, good.

Once all North Upper have sold we are allowed to sell lower tier, I'm in upper tier row EE, sounds high up, I'd better leave the pub a few minutes early to get there.

as 2ndtenorblade sez once the upper is sold then the lower will be on sale to Blades. There's also part of the Doug Ellis stand that is available to SUFC fans, should we sell out the whole of the North Stand.

Ordered ticket today, still selling the Upper Stand so far...

Got 4 tickets in upper stand today! Any ideas how many we've sold already?

I was told yesterday that we had sold 'a few'. On the ball as always the ticket office dwellers.

With the tickets going on general sale today, they were expecting a big increase in sales.

Me and Ken Junior got ours today an' all.
Upper fuck face, I believe.
Not been to Villa Park since we got trounced 3-0 in t' prem when Killa were shat on allowert'show.

We've not sold out for Stevenage or Walsall yet.

I'm sure the players would appreciate sold out away ends for these two games as well especially as they are key to help us survive this season.

I'm taking my two lads to Stevenage tomorrow. It's cost me £46 for tickets, 4 days before crimbo, throw in petrol, a pint, something to eat and its soon stacking up towards £100.

Walsall is even worse, if I took the lads, (10 and 8) £52.50 for tickets. Happy new year.....not :(

Villa is £25.

So although I'm sure the players would appreciate it, however, given those prices and two home games over the christmas period as well, I can well understand that visits to Stevenage and Walsall are not exactly attractive for many supporters.
