I don’t think we were particularly good (although not as wretched as some would have it); Leeds were just better than us. They got it spot-on.

That said, I think Moore needs dropping for a couple of games. I’ve not been as unimpressed as some others with his contributions so far, but he didn’t seem to have much skill, confidence or decision-making ability last night.

Watching the game last night, I think we're starting to rely on a out ball to Moore to hold it up/drop it off to midfield whilst they catch up , against a lot of teams in the championship it's going to work but personally we needed a quick mobile centre forward who could have turned a few times and ran at their defence?
CW got it wrong last night he should have just kept to the back 4 and took the chance ( too tentative defensively moving system)
TBF to Leeds their league position is false they're the best team I've seen up to now and will be top 2 at the end of the season

yes i think leeds are the best team in the championship as well but we really didnt give em a game last night any team that attacks them though will have success their not great at the back and although ive never rated him that highly piroe looked twice the striker moore is last night we really need another midfielder and 2 more strikers to come in in january

Wilder got the tactics wrong we should never play 3 at the back again. To have 0 shots against a garbage goalkeeper was a travesty. We were just off the pace tonight.
On the bright side, the first goal was a mistake we fell asleep, the second goal should not have been allowed Joseph was trying to take Peck's shirt off (VAR rules that no goal). We just need to score.

Leeds they will be feeling chuffed but I watch them due to wife supporting them and they will go into their next game thinking they are world beaters and with that GK at the back they will get stuffed again. Rematch at downtown BL we will beat them as we will have progressed. Leeds fans are not keen on Farke either.

Finally we are 3rd till this afternoon, remove the -2 and we were top going into the Leeds game. Last 9 unbeaten clean sheets. If we said that in pre-season for us to be there in October we would take it anyday.

yes fair points and yes joseph fouled peck by holding on to his shirt linesman should have spotted that one but leeds were the better team by far and we deserved nothing out of the game its gone now move on to boro and play our usual system im sure chris wont be going 352 again

Tonight's match was supposed to honour the brave fighting spirit of one Georgie Baldock and Wilder decided to set us up in a totally unfamiliar cowardly shape which was the exact opposite.
After 9 games undefeated and 6 clean sheets , he gave away the initiative from the start and lead us to an abject defeat without laying a glove on Leeds.
It would be disingenuous for him to blame Baldock's death or the players or anything other than his own gameplan , but no doubt he will try.
After slowly warming to him this season , he has really shattered me tonight from the moment I saw the team sheet.

It’s easy to blame the change in formation but the reality was that they had far more quality and experience in their squad than we have. Whatever system we could have played would not have overcome the gap in quality.
If there are 5 other teams of that quality in the league then we come 7th at best, but I don’t think there are.

The first time we've played someone better than just competent, we were clear second best, didn't lay a glove on them, and didn't ever threaten to. There was a serious question as to whether our league position was inflated due to strength of schedule, and the answer is somewhere between maybe and probably. By contrast, I believe Leeds have now played all of the top six already

I didn’t know how good Leeds are before the match. Now I know.
What I don’t know is how we compare to the top half teams that we have not yet played.
My guess( slightly informed) is that we are 4th at worst.

I won’t be surprised (or especially disappointed) if we aren’t competing for promotion given last season & how ‘thin’ the squad is

Stubborn Wilder justifies his setup by saying Leeds are too good for us and then blames our players for their performance - such arrogance.
Could he not concede that his changing a winning shape & personnel might , just might , have been a wrong move , when facing a difficult challenge ?
Every player was having to cope with an unfamiliar shape and we had no pace in attack , neither winger used , so we hardly got forward to give some relief to our defence.
Bringing on Campbell instead of one of our wingers or even Brewster was just ridiculous.
"Leeds have wonderful players in every position" was his defeatist response.

I think. Our best eleven matches theirs in most departments.
We were so poor last night because the. Managers sent solders into battle with wooden guns.

Understood, although I don’t fully agree.
They had pace and individual skills that most of our first eleven don’t have and their bench was certainly stronger than ours.
I think however that we can match most of the rest of the league, although I am unsure about Burnley.

In Chris's post match interview he explains the change in shape was due to looking at the likes of Southampton in the play off's,and I think Sunderland this season...both changed shape to combat Leeds...he said they virtually have a line of 6 when attacking,and thought it would be more effective, but added it fell down due to being poor in turning over possession to easily.
