I always think hitting a penalty to the side of the goal that matches the foot you hit it with is the wrong choice (I.e the "opening your body" technique). Goalies seem more prepared to save those.

Brewster and Moore now have had pens saved that way this season.

It's a balance penalty. Clearly the best thing to do is to blast it into the top corner of your dominant side (so if right footed, high to the keeper's right), but if you do that too often there is the analytics these days that keepers will cheat that side. Same as how keepers should not dive at all every 10-15 pens to put the kaibosh on players chipping or rolling it down the middle after you've dived out of the way

Morals have long since gone out of the game, if you don't have a nailed on chance and have contact, you go down.

This is high risk football, great to watch unless you're of a nervous disposition. Could go wrong at any moment as we're so open at times.

Me too but today is. A great example watford have won loads of soft free kicks simply by falling down when they have lost their dual
It makes the referees mind up for them.

So we are playing wellfrom keeper to midfield. Not looking under too much pressure. Just need the final third sorting out. No great crosses with someone on the end, struggle to penetrative. Moore not the answer against the top teams. He doesn't pull the cb apart to create channels for Hamer or O'Hare to run into. Guess they need more "gel" time
