Will take those three points. Second half worse, but enough. Ref completely lost control the last 20. Reaction to Jebbo is the most childish thing I've seen at BL possibly ever

Great performance this afternoon against inform Watford. Great to end their 100% run. Shame Utd didn't score a few more with chances we had. WELL DONE BLADES.

My main criticism from today. We should have had more plus that crap pen. That finishing product needs to click because with that, we'd have had 4 today easily

More was guilty of not gerrin his head up on at least two occasions that should have sealed the game despite his lacklustre penalty. Moore to come from him hopefully.

Keep coming, we can be more childish than that!

Today was great

GilChrist is a proper defender

Blaster is a proper midfielder can play 6 or 10

Souza was a proper destroyer

If those three keep doing that we will easily finish top 10

Good win that one. Better side throughout, and I never really felt Watford looked capable of a goal.

Their best player (Chakvetadze) was desperately trying to create despite our defenders having him covered pretty well, but nobody was supporting him to even try and convert. Then they took him off, and they offered nothing afterwards.

Still some work to be done offensively to have us fully up to speed. There are moments of good interplay, but too often a move breaks down at the moment, simply due to that understanding not quite being there yet.

Several very good performances. Souza had a great game I thought, as did Anel. Rak-Sakyi did well down the right - kept us with the same threat on the right as Brooks has been offering.

I think the fact that they came into today with a perfect record, says more about their opponents so far than it does about Watford. I thought that, minus Chakvetadze, they were absolute shite. Offered nothing going forwards, and looked very shaky at the back. If our front 4 had had more time playing as a unit, we'd have won by a few more than just the 1.

They spent a lot of energy on making shitty challenges (see Sissoko at the end of the 1st half) that gained them nothing but a few bookings.

If that was a typical Watford performance, they'll be nowhere near the top 6 this season. Absolute set of bloggers.

All in all a really good performance and other than the odd shot, Watford never looked like scoring even tho I thought they were a fairly good side.

We need to stop giving away such stupid fouls and utterly pointless bookings. O’Hare second half outside the box, Hamer had a go at chopping their lad in half right at the end. In the prem that’s a red.

Final ball and decision making in the last third will come with time I hope but could do with a real finisher up top.

To say it’s a side put together in the last couple of months, signs are really promising. Thought McCallum was good when he came on.

I think Jebbos only touch was on Souttar 😁

Always makes me laugh that when we win we were great but when we don't win we were shit.

We were decent/ solid today, showed some great spirit and overall deserved to win against a very good Watford team.
Watford looked well drilled and passed it around really well in midfield but they were probably overplaying and we defended well.
Ironically if they'd relied more on the "big boot" upfield then they might have created more. However thought Watford were the best team we've played this season. We didnt hit the heights go the first 30 minutes against QPR, instead of high quality we won due to hard work and battling spirit.
As some one already mentioned, the 'old Sheffield United' and it was good to see, but we can and will play much better than that.

Postives
Souttar- commanding performance and because there was less pressure on Anel, he also played well today
Cooper - didnt make a single save but not sure if it's coincednance but the defence seems much calmer than usual having a very competent goalie behind them. Also Cooper distribution was excellent, he set up our goal with a superb pass.
Rak Sakyi - every time he got the ball on the wing, you could see Watford defence panicking so they tended to put 2 players on him.
He still regularly got past his 2 markers and came close to scoring twice and won several corners.
The downside is he's not as solid especially defensively compared to Brooks, but JRS does look a threat.

Playing style: People might not agree but I like how every player seems quite comfortable on the ball and they are being told to keep possession.
A few times instead of our goalie booting it upfield, he rolled it out to a defender and patiently played the ball around defence working our way into midfield. Against good teams you have to make sure there are spells where they don't see the ball, so they can't build up momentum and confidence.
Think this passing style is the way forward and as we have so many new players....then you would expect we'll become better and more well drilled.

Negatives
Moore- plays well as a target man but not sure he's going to be a prolific scorer and not sure we have anyone prolific.
So if we want to be promoted might need to rely on a lot of 1-0's and the occasional 2-1.

Playing style: We sometimes over play it going no where for too long. This is good when you're winning as it's part of game management but sometimes we need quick breakaways. For all our attacks our final ball seems poor and we're not creating loads of chances.
Lack of pace: Thought our defence was excellent today. The irony was the only time we looked vulnerable was when we had a corner because Watford on the break could out pace both Souttar and Anel. We also lack pace up front too, we are forced to play to feet, which is harder instead of knocking a ball into space for a forward to run on to.
Hamers position: Always seems a waste putting Hamer out on the wing. It reminds me of the Fodden/ Bellingham situation for England where both players want to play centrally. You can see Hamer always wants to drift on centrally. Not sure how this can be sorted.
