Good win that one. Better side throughout, and I never really felt Watford looked capable of a goal.
Their best player (Chakvetadze) was desperately trying to create despite our defenders having him covered pretty well, but nobody was supporting him to even try and convert. Then they took him off, and they offered nothing afterwards.
Still some work to be done offensively to have us fully up to speed. There are moments of good interplay, but too often a move breaks down at the moment, simply due to that understanding not quite being there yet.
Several very good performances. Souza had a great game I thought, as did Anel. Rak-Sakyi did well down the right - kept us with the same threat on the right as Brooks has been offering.
I think the fact that they came into today with a perfect record, says more about their opponents so far than it does about Watford. I thought that, minus Chakvetadze, they were absolute shite. Offered nothing going forwards, and looked very shaky at the back. If our front 4 had had more time playing as a unit, we'd have won by a few more than just the 1.
They spent a lot of energy on making shitty challenges (see Sissoko at the end of the 1st half) that gained them nothing but a few bookings.
If that was a typical Watford performance, they'll be nowhere near the top 6 this season. Absolute set of bloggers.
