Take Moore off and bring Brewster on at half time. The earlier ball from Burrows and the one from Hamer just now were crying out for someone to break forward quickly to get on the end of them. Moore doesn't have the pace and they ended up wasted/golden chances.

When Hamer decides to hit a shot on target he'll score 40 this season
Arblaster/Brooks are both also guilty of holding on to it for too long and taking extra touches when they're not needed. They're young and inexperienced, so they can be forgiven, but this has always been something that's plagued Chris Wilder teams. It's like when Baldock would beat a full back and be in prime position to cross the ball, but stopped and passed backwards instead. It used to infuriate me.

Moore looks completely isolated. Barely involved. Still have no idea what his role is.

If Brewster can stay fit for once it should only be a matter of time before he takes Moore's shirt.
His role is to drop back to collect the ball and then play in Hamer/O'Hare/Brooks beyond the back line, then bust a gut to get into the box to get on the end of whatever they create, or the rebound if they shoot. At least, that's what would make sense to me in this formation.

To play him as a lone goalscorer is naive in this formation, and if that is the intended role then Moore ain't the player for it.

He’s set up nearly 2 goals what you on about, I think he’s played well, could be better in the air which is surprising tbh, but he’s been decent.

Enjoyed that.

Positives:-
Arblaster running midfield
Souttar winning his battles
Ahmedhodzic a few telescopic leg tackles a la his first season with us.
Rak-Sakyi has the skills

Negatives
Failing to turn good positions in final 3rd into shots
Lacking a prolific scorer who would make the difference.

Watford- getting in good positions and a bit too much space down wings (expected when they’re playing 3-5-2 against 4-4-2) but they’ve not troubled Cooper.

Left his right leg in the challenge to con the referee.

The penalty itself reminded me of the one McGoldrick missed against Wednesday.

That one was also won after a ridiculous dive from Duffy.
No he didn’t leave his trailing leg 👍😂

Promising first half against an in form team. Anels best all round 45 mins for a while, Arblaster just gets better and better. Shame about Moore's pen, would be good for his confidence, but thought he was really good in his positions throughout. Again, maybe we need a bit more composure in the final third. I am sure Hamer will score some blinders this season, but doesn't need to shoot everytime and I think about 4 good crossing opportunities fell to Gilchrist, but just chipped into the box. Hope our energy levels don't drop off again second half, am sure Watford will come out hard.

We’re really good to watch it’s quite exciting at times going forward, but my hearts in my mouth at the back, louruchi has the whole of the left hand side far too much space. We need someone to drop into the RB position if Gilchrist is drifting into the centre his much.

What he actually said was ‘he took the contact’
So are you saying it’s a dive or he’s waited for the contact?
I know you’ll die on this hill so not bothering arguing the point. It’s all about opinions

Good all round performance of the type we need regularly. Fluid and a threat from multiple angles

But still plenty of gaps left at the back

The penalty miss might be a blessing. We can't relax now

What's he doing with his right leg then?

Anybody who has played football can see what he was doing.

Completely unnatural thing to do.
Frankly irrelevant.

Rightly or wrongly it’s part and parcel of the game.

Players will gladly do this against us time and time again and we’ll all complain.

We’ve had a false bladey bladey proper club games gone mentality for years now. Like some shite badge of honour.

Play to win.
