We can’t think he’s worth more than that surely

It must be timing of gettnig someone in & realising that RND struggled at CB last night so that new position will take time to learn plus he's regaining fitness. We can’t think he’s worth more than that surely
I'm thinking the rejection isn't necessarily to do with the Trusty valuation. This deal is obviously directly linked to Johnston so maybe they are valuating him higher than we like. Not sure the bid has been accepted?
So also not sure where that leaves Mikey Johnston coming the other way?
Do they really need to be left-footed if we are playing a back 4? I'd suggest absolutely not though I do know Wilder has a bit of a hard-on for this business.Left footed CB's come at a premium. We know a realistic replacement / improvement on what we have won't be cheap either
Not aware that the 2 ‘deals’ have been linked in any way shape or form ?Not sure the bid has been accepted?

Think the Johnston transfer is already agreed, fee was reported as agreed yesterday while the news about Trusty has only just been revealed today. Not sure the bid has been accepted?

I don't have a source it just seems logical. We want one of theirs they want one of ours. They act the bollocks we act the bollocks. We act the bollocks they act the bollocks.“Obviously”
Source ?
Ref my post above
If we have a bid accepted, and he still hasn't signed doesn't that further point towards the deal being dependent on the Trusty deal? Hopefully just a case of getting the lad down for medical etc. We've had a bid accepted for him

Good point, I didn't think about the American connection.Selling Trusty would be a massive mistake
Left-footed , Tall, Athletic , Fast , Half decent on the ball
He could be the face of the USA Blades Brand for year to come
Traore is doing well for Basel and our forward line are hardly pulling up any trees think he has dropped a bollocks there. We're doing bloody well to be attracting bids for players like this, alongside Slimane and Traore who Wilder saw through as soon as he walked through the door pretty much.
As long as Hamer stays, I couldn't give a buggery about whether Trusty, Souza, Slimane, Grbic (conspicuous by his absence last night) or anyone else from last season that we signed who's still on the books is still here or not.
As opposed to just not wanting to sell I assume. Every player has his price and all that. Everything probably will go down to the wire maybe minus the incoming of Johnston. We’ve told Celtic we want more apparently
If we get over £5m for Trusty then we’ve done some right business
If we get over £5m for Trusty then we’ve done some right business
£6m Trusty (pure guess to the final fee)
£5m Traore
£10-15m Osula
£6m Bogle
If the above is anything to go buy we’ll be flogging Slimane for £5m too
The one thing we need to between now & Friday is replace Trusty if he goes. If that’s with a RCB playing LCB so be it (if there isn’t a LCB available). We can’t have 3 CBs and RND as back up.Was thinking the same thing… some excellent negotiation on all of those for me. Bogle only one you’d argue is worth more but with a year left and wanting to leave - it’s more than decent. If we can add a couple of mil for slimani too!
Add to that cooper for c£2m
And Burrows for c£3m
It’s not bad going in all honesty

You’d like to think we’d have some money in the bank to do soGreat.
But it'd be good to see some of it reinvested. We've brought plenty in, offloaded a load of others on high wages and have parachute payments to cushion our relegation.
