Dog meat is very disrespectful to a player that has been a very good pro. However, like many of Utd's previous squad, his performance levels in recent seasons have declined and it appears his legs are going / have gone. I'd put him in a similar category to Stevens, Norwood and Fleck - will do a job for someone for the next 1-2 years but not suitable for Utd given the ambition level this season

I know Trusty has not been great for us, but concerned we may be offloading him just when he is becoming useful. He looks more comfortable in a four. Robinson and RND are both better in a three.

Honestly, I've no idea what they're seeing in him. It will be a really good move for Trusty, I'm sure he'll probably want to go. If Anel/ Trusty leave this week we're seriously short at the back. We can't rely on RND being the go-to for cover either.

I understand the 'Premier League' experience bit but the issue is he was absolutely honking. As much as Souza, Anel and others got panned last year they've at least shown something at times. Also his left foot is terrible. He can't pass and technically he is about League 1 standard.

However it's his total lack of awareness, defensive positioning, aggressiveness and aerial ability that are the main concerns regardless of his lack of ability on the ball.

I don't ever see him amounting to much at all and expect him back in the States for good within 3 years.

If anyone is willing to give us anywhere close to our money back then I'd snap their hands off. There is no one giving us 8 million. I think 4 or 5 is a major push.

I'd rather see young lads like Sasnauskas given a chance if Robbo/JLT are not available.

It’s a great move for Trusty. Bit of European exposure with no expectation to do anything other than come last in the group, four to six tough games a season and the rest is a duck shoot. Carter-Vickers is the blueprint, he’s bang average too yet he’s linked with an eight-figure move to the Premier League.

When people were saying a few months ago that we would need to raise around £20m in player sales after relegation, I would have been convinced that Hamer or Arbalster would have to go.
If someone told me that we could get it from selling Osula and Trusty, I would have told them that they needed sectioning.

If this season was about getting rid of the deadwood and building a new squad, then this is a no brainer move. He probably is better than we saw but I'll be surprised if he ever makes it as a top end Championship player. He just doesn't have the technical attributes for me. He is our 4th choice centre back and someone is offering £5m. Easy decision

£5m would be ace, but we'd need to recruit a replacement on a permanent basis. We can't fall into the trap of replacing permanents with loans.

On the plus side, we could probably bring in someone fairly steady for half the price, and either bank the rest, or put it towards a signing at the top of the pitch.
