Can't blame him for that, as being sacked means a huge pay off.

That said, please McCabe, put him out of his misery now and pay him up!

He doesn't fear being told to not turn up again, other than to pick up a cheque for £1,000,000?

Really?

UTB

Of course he doesn't fear the sack, pay off from a three year contract will be very useful. Get the feeling he's mugged the Blades, it was all a cunning plan to scam a few hundred grad out of us.

I have to say the comment, I don't fear the sack irritated me. He should fear it, as he should want to keep his job!

One things for certain, when he does go, as he surely must, it's almost guaranteed that he'll say "If only the club had shown a bit more patience. I felt that the team were just starting to turn the corner and really start to believe in what we were trying to achieve" or something to that affect.

You can say one thing about David Weir, he isn't the sort of man who let's a lack of ability undermine his self confidence.

David Weir deep down knows he has failed.

Forget the financial side of things but he should fear the sack if for one reason alone. He's a would be manager trying to carve his name out in English football and so far his early CV won't have that many chairmen ringing his phone asking to interview him in my opinion!.

David weirs CV as it stands.

Manager: Sheffield United
Statistics: Played 12, Lost 8, Drawn 2, Won 1. (win rate percentage 8%)
Goals team have scored:7
Goals team have conceded:17
Eliminated from 2 cup competitions in early stages.

Can't see him getting any offers above league 2 in england after this spell as it stands only option would be try his luck in the hotseat in Scotland.

I don't think he gives a fuck about that. Being a football manager is ballache. He's earned enough money in his career not to have to work again so, just to make sure, he rocks up at Bramall Lane, fucks us for a few hundred grand, then fucks off to spend his retirement playing golf or impersonating Pob.

I think he knows he ain't up to it.
He's probably hoping he gets the sack.
Big paycheque, go back to Everton and blame it all on us.
He's in a cracking position to be honest.
He has no reputation to ruin.

Or no doubt end up as an 'expert' on Sky Sports.

I've heard he's got a job as an Ostrich farmer. He's excellent at burying his head in the sand. Sooner he goes the better.
