The absolute meltdown on here when we dropped those 3 points was unreal. I thought we'd been relegated.
That’s very true, but that was then, and this is now. Some of that squad have been in serious decline since that Championship season. A few will be missed. We’re also acquiring some exciting replacements. We need a few more, but nowhere near the 17 that have gone.

I agree with you in the main, but I just thought that it was unfair to describe that season's squad as bottlers. No doubt last season was a season too far for many though sadly

Fully agree that they were no bottlers - hence my ‘like’ for your post. That squad withstood enormous pressure in what was a make or break season for us in terms of financial security for the club. We owe them a huge debt of gratitude. Sadly, time and injury has caught up with many of them.
The moaning in this very forum when we kept some of these players last season. You've nailed it there - many of those players helped save the club from heaven knows what. I do get a bit pissed off when people slag them off - not pointing the finger at you by the way.
