Both his goals in the friendlies have reminded me of Brereton Diaz. Powerful striker cutting in from the left and belting it in.Just saw the replay of the first goal. Reminded me of a Ndiaye type of finish from Osula.![]()
those kids are learning and need to be given little pockets of game time in the right circumstances given the expectations of the club. Not starting and taking leading roles.
I wonder if this cake thing will carry on through the season, cos I like a bit of cakeAnel was there. At HT Anel, Hamer, RND Shackleton and Tom Davies cake and waved the crowd.
I was relieved to see Tom Davies is still alive.
Who else ‘should’ (could) we have extended ?With hindsight I wonder if Abdullah still thinks his strategy of letting players get into the last year of their contracts is a good one for football teams?!
Apart from Adam Davies have we extended anyone else?
I’d have liked us to have kept Baldock (we now don’t have a RB), Wes, Jebbison and McBurnie out of the ones who we’ve currentlly let go, lost to better offers or not extended.Who else ‘should’ (could) we have extended ?
Don’t be ridiculous. He’s a complete one off.Whereas schoolkids in Spain feature in the Euro Cup final.
Arblaster, Faxon, Tinsdale, Bogle, Freckleton and Easton. With hindsight I wonder if Abdullah still thinks his strategy of letting players get into the last year of their contracts is a good one for football teams?!

I’m referring to the end of the contracts. The in season ones for Bogle and Arblaster were good signings, the rest are young lads, you wouldn’t expect them to turn us down.Arblaster, Faxon, Tinsdale, Bogle, Freckleton and Easton.
Peck?
Yes, came on in 2nd half.Did Curtis play today?
Osula got smacked with a thunderbolt of a shot from one of our players!! Just before h/t.
Alblaster was knobbled by a couple of hefty challenges and was limping off slightly… think just a precaution.

Like Lowe, Bogle’s contract was up in June but we decided to extend his.I’m referring to the end of the contracts. The in season ones for Bogle and Arblaster were good signings, the rest are young lads, you wouldn’t expect them to turn us down.
Osula & Arblaster also had other options, but chose to sign long contracts with us.Like Lowe, Bogle’s contract was up in June but we decided to extend his.
Faxon was linked with Liverpool and Manchester United before signing his contract and Peck is highly rated.
I’m glad we extended Bogle’s because we’re now getting a fee for him, it’s weird how he’s now had his head turned though.Like Lowe, Bogle’s contract was up in June but we decided to extend his.

Freckleton was out of contract but signed his last week.
I didn’t know that school-leaving age in Spain was 25…Nine players under the age of 25 in the Spanish squad.
So incomparable to the players we've got. Here's some of the lads you're talking about for context:Nine players under the age of 25 in the Spanish squad.
Think I am right that we did extend bogles as we had an option and we then sold him for some money... makes much more sense for a player like him who us young and clearly worth somethingWho else ‘should’ (could) we have extended ?

At least with Bogle we’re getting some money rather than him running his deal down another season, that’s a positive for me as long as it buys a decent RB or someone with a few goals in them.
Ignoring specific examples, the sheer reluctance of both managers and fans to give anyone a go who isn't the complete finished article is truly baffling. How exactly do any of you all think we will ever step up to the next level, in lieu of someone with trillions taking us over, without either having the bollocks to give kids a run and have them potentially appreciate in value exponentially?
This sums it up perfectly for me.If they are good enough they will play.
Fact.
Some fans, you appear to be one, seem to think our academy players are great, ready to just slot straight in.
yet several have hardly played a game in men’s football, and others that have hardly set their world alight! Fact is, there are kids like them at every team in our league, and believe it or not there will probably be far better at other clubs of comparable age.
Most top players go out on loan at some point. Some several times before deemed ready for their owning club. What makes ours so special?
Boils down to fans viewing through rose tinted glasses again.
Remind us when you had that chat with him to enable you to come to that conclusion.Prince bogroll don't care!
