Not ITK but I doubt we would need to sell Hamer in addition to Souza and Anel to avoid financial trouble (if there is even any danger of that), selling Souza and Anel should generate more than enough to sort out our losses from last season.

It's not so much covering losses LB, as covering the huge drop in revenue next season. Reduced wages will cover it in-part but sales will also inevitably be required.

How many is dependent on a number of variables, the most critical being who the owner/s will be and what the budget will be set at.

Do you think we'll have to sell Hamer aswel as Anel and Souza so we don't run into financial trouble like we did 2 seasons ago?
I don't think we'll have to sell Hamer as well as Anel and Souza, it's more likely that we'll sell him and Anel as we won't find any takers for Souza other than a loan to get him off the wage bill, which still leave us without anything to spend on fees. Sadly Hamer may have to be sacrificed.

Sell him for £15mil and bring in 3 or 4 players max around £3-5mil in fees. But knowing us we'll sign 10 mediocre players for £1.5mil each.

No way we’d get as little as £15 million for Hamer. Long contract plus he did enough in a poor team to show he could mix it in a comfortable mid table Premier League-side.

Not heard anything, just remember seeing a screenshot (towards the end of the season) of how much we spent on players last summer against how much we sold Berge and Ndiaye for.

Just a guess but I reckon with the sales of Anel and Souza it should cover our losses from last season, along with Archer returning to Villa, hopefully giving us a bit more money to spend at the same time.

We didn't make loses in the previous two premier league seasons and one of those was with no fans....

The issue is the loses in the championship seasons eat up those profits

Without a takeover it depends more on the level of financial housekeeping in the year to 30/06/24 and any remaining level of pre-existing creditors.

Those profits were eaten up by earlier years creditors. They weren’t in a pot carried forward to a loss making year.

My mistake, I counted the difference between what we spent on transfers compared to the money we made in player sales as I thought they made up a large part of our losses over a season.

But that was without considering the loss of income/revenue upon relegation which parachute payments are meant to help with.

Player sales and purchase amounts aren’t profit and loss items.

I don't know why I said £15mil, I meant £20mil.

The Ramsdale fee is looking like less than we sold him for.
You’d need Pickford to get injured, Ramsdale to play and blinder and England to win the tournament for us to make anything further out of Ramsdale.

Don’t see how being sidelined most of last season will have him being valued at more than 30m unless Chelsea come in and are a bit whacky with money again.

Obviously playing for England would up his fee he's the understudy so that counts, very unlucky to be toppled by Arsenal signing a goalie shouldn't really effect his transfer fee that much and Arsenal won't want to lose money on him if he goes.

Problem for them is they can’t have their cake and eat it:
Not give him games, yet expect his value to hold.
Not give him games, yet expect him to stay.

Think they made their choice and now they deal with the consequences of that choice.

me neither but i agree think this ones been as good as done for a while now
I wouldn't say we're being over optimistic, we've been after him years, Forest don't want him, the Turkish side haven't signed him, we really need that position strengthening, and he's a definite Wilder type player.
It's been a different type of noise coming from the sources too, either nobody else wants him, or a verbal agreement is already in place.
