Glad someone else saw this. It was painful watching us under Hecky when Egan was charged with being the deep lying playmaker; he has his strengths but being in possession and passing certainly aren't high on the list.I wouldn’t be too bothered if we had to let Egan go although we don’t have the funds to replace with better.
Defensively he has good qualities but he was always frustrating with the ball. His first thought would always be launch it clear or out of play. One of the worst offenders for turning over possession.
I'm sure there was a debate on here between those who were of the view that he was good with the ball at his feet (he's not) and those who were of the opposite view.
