What's this based on? His hair?
I just remember him being a twat when we played him at their place once.
Don't know, could be the hair, he just seems to think he's above the Championship now he's found a grandparent that once went to Chile.
I've recommended on here before, he's a more mobile McBurnie I suppose, and an obvious upgrade on what Traore is offering.

On your other point though, I'm sure there will be goalscorers on the bench at their clubs that fancy a few months game time. We aren't a terrible proposition to young players, especially with the pressure slightly off us. I know you think we'll keep Thomas though, so as far as the foreign loan market goes, Diaz does seem an OK fit.

Good signing in my opinion.

We have to be realistic in our expectations, about what kind of player we can afford. Many won't like that, but we are where we are.

He'll be chomping at the bit to test himself at this level, and in the likely event we do go down, we have an option to sign a championship ready forward permanently.

Yep, it's a move that could benefit all parties and hopefully make going to the games more bearable!

I thought he worked really, really hard for Blackburn. Yes he was a bit of a dick but lots of players are

Can I just say that I am more mobile than MacBurnie and I'm nearly 64. Thank you.

Not a bad option if we can't rely on McBurnie's fitness for the rest of the season.
His last 2 seasons for Blackburn:
22 goals in 38 apps (slightly better than McBurnie's best season at Swansea);
16 goals in 50 apps (slightly worse than McBurnie last season)
Am expecting Revolution pointing out that he hasnt scored for Villareal this season!

I think he will be a good signing

Will be a good signing being paired with Archer, looking forward to it.

If the Traore deal with Nancy is already in place I dare this one for Brereton-Diaz to us is as well.

Might be unpopular but he was terrible every time I’ve watched him play

Just finished talking to my mate who lives in Burnley but is a Rovers ST holder.

"Was on the scoresheet regularly but was also our main penalty taker. Even when he did score nobody thought wow BBD bossed that game."

"Sad to see him leave but noone was distraught like you guys were about Ndiaye."

"Not a prem level player for me and for a team struggling for chances, there will be times you'll forget he's on the pitch as happened often in games we played shite."

From my Blackburn supporting friend:

'BBD is lazy, slow and greedy. Thinks he's better than he is. Will score odd worldy but not a great work ethic. Had a good 6 months but he's mid table Champ at best. Amazed you are signing him for the Premier League!'

He will surely offer more than Brewster and Traore though and at least more of a presence?

Seems a Champ level player but if there is no option to keep, then it seems an odd one? Hopefully he has something to prove after he had really struggled in Spain (only started twice and not scored a goal).

On the face of it seems quite underwhelming but not sure who we would attract being bottom of the league, almost certainly down and having no money!

Sky sports now reporting our interest. To be fair, could drop straight into our first eleven. No language problem, knows all about us, and CW.

He sounds like a Gary Madine type signing to me. Will probably chip in with a couple of goals, which as you say is probably more than we'll get out of Brewster, Traore and probably Osula too.

Have a watch of those goals. A fair few penalties and a lot of comical defensive blunders.

Couple of great finishes but the majority put on a plate for him by teammates.

He's not a great ball carrier or passer either.

A downgrade on Mcburnie imho.

Be interesting to get Roygbiv view from Villarreal.
Ahhhh
I see
Not (only) the longest ever “golden patch”but (also) lucky, parasitic inept baby-lining goal hanger ?
Unclear about the McBurnie reference - given BBD’s (lack of) attributes / abilities they’re hardly competitors for a jersey
I’d be more interested in a (more relevant) view from Blackburn

Bad reviews from Villareal and Blackburn for whatever it's worth

Is your friend Chris and live in Burnley?

Sounds very similar to my Rovers supporting mates view on BBD 🤣

See Roys reply just below yours ;)

He's more of a second striker plays wide left ,a clever player uses his physicality well but not a target man
Be more competition for archer or mcatee rather than mcburnie though unless wilder has something up his sleeve
