Not as good as some people think he is.

Apart from a golden patch at Blackburn has struggled to score goals.

Got a text abo it this from someone about 3 days ago, only time I’ve been ITK lol

Deffo improves us

He seemed to improve when he added the Diaz bit to his name I believe.

Plays for Chile (I think?) with a fair few caps.

He also gave the Kop the old hands to ears in our cup game last season after about 15 minutes, so he’s either very self confident in his teams ability to hold onto a slim lead or he’s a bit dim.

Not a bad option if we can't rely on McBurnie's fitness for the rest of the season.
His last 2 seasons for Blackburn:
22 goals in 38 apps (slightly better than McBurnie's best season at Swansea);
16 goals in 50 apps (slightly worse than McBurnie last season)

Much better than what we currently have - options wise. Means we don’t have to rely on McBurnie, who’s unreliable and it takes some of the pressure off Osula.

He's a top half or better Championship player. But he has shown little runs of quality above that.

Who else is available who can speak the language, is willing to move here at short notice and doesn't mind playing for a team who are unlikely to be creating much?

I'm extremely critical of UW and how United find players. But when you need short term impact, it does make me laugh when people expect United to bring in players who'll likely take 3 months to even figure out how to drive on the other side of the road

Aye
Albeit a (prolonged) 2 season “golden patch”of 36 goals in 80 games !

Have a watch of those goals. A fair few penalties and a lot of comical defensive blunders.

Couple of great finishes but the majority put on a plate for him by teammates.

He's not a great ball carrier or passer either.

A downgrade on Mcburnie imho.

Be interesting to get Roygbiv view from Villarreal.

What's wrong with that?

If we stay up, we can afford to buy someone better, and if we go down, we're not sadlled with someone on big wages.

Agree if it was an obligation to buy but an option to buy / first refusal would be a sensible clause to include in any loan deal.

Would very much like him for next season, he's the sort of quality we'll need to get back up, along with Archer and McB

Would be pleased and surprised to get him on any basis though. Maybe we'll be able to work out a permanent deal anyway. We're the right sort of level for him so it could make sense

The best ability is availability

Saw him a few times last season for Blackburn and thought he was OK but always worked hard and has goals in him. Another option instead of McBurnie with his height and strength, compared to our other strikers.

It would only be a forgein loan as we have 3 slots available Im guessing. (1/4 with Larouci)?

Great suggestion Ndiayewillalwaysloveyou

Very meh signing for me....stinks of lazy scouting, surely there are better options...?
I'm sure most of us would have been happy if we'd signed him in the summer on the back of last season and the year before.

He's not had many chances in Spain though it seems.

Don’t mind this. See how he fits in and hopefully get him for next season if it works. Can’t see it be it being expensive. The combo with archer seems to be pretty balanced too.
