I have not felt this numb in many years.

Yes I have a life to live but my SUFC is a huge part of that so when I watch 90 minutes of absolute shite like today, I honestly don’t know how to react: anger, disappointment, or just move on.

Problem is I can’t move on, anything SUFC sets in my emotional self and this will stick for some time.

Maybe Liverpool putting 6 by us will help, at least I can reconcile that.

Toledo

Genuine concern is we’ll be lucky to hold them to 6

Another fucking shit show Hecky has to get the sack wait a min he won't simply because the Poundland prince has got nowt to pay his contract up same for the rest of the backroom staff. that prince has made it known he won't be visible again at Bramall Lane leaving Hecky to get all the flak, Liverpool is next up at Bramall Lane, better phone someone at Headingley for a scoreboard because we will get beat by a cricket score. the sooner the prince fucks off the better.

I can't get behind sacking Heckingbottom, not yet.

We are down, fine. What I don't want is many more tonkings though - if we can start keeping the losses respectable that could give us a springboard next season in what will be a rubbish Championship and we'll be back up again.

Just need to keep some solidarity and those who leave need to be replaced with some players with the heart and desire that we seem to bring though when things get tough.

No need for quick sackings here, we all know how this season ends regardless of who is in charge - this is all about next season now.

I have never felt so worried about a game than the upcoming Liverpool match, it fuckin terrifies me, a 0-5 result now seems like a fantastic result for us, it could easily be the biggest hiding in premier league history.
One way to play that game, and that is with hearts on sleave.

Liverpool won't rip us apart, they aren't that kinds of side right now, they aren't snarling nasty - so let's be in their faces and see what happens.

What a load of complete and utter fucking bollocks.

This idea that Hecky will get us up again a piece of piss after a season like this is so delusional I dont even know where to begin.

Its fucking bonkers quite frankly.

Put the best manager in the world in front of this set of players and board, what happens?

Change for change's sake isn't always where it's at.

Hahahahahahahhahahaha

Fucking hell, two of our relegation rivals have wiped the floor with us and we didnt look like we gave a shit. You have got to be a pig on the wind up. Fuck me.

We’re more organised for starters, not as defensively shambolic. We might even play with a bit of intensity. It doesnt have to be the best manager in the world, just a competent one will do.

Danny Rotton what a stupid comment Liverpool does not have to be snarling to beat us. Have you seen our terrible defending?

No, I'm saying we need to stop the pity party and start getting in other teams faces.

Be what we do best and put it to teams - stop rolling over and stop being easy.

It's called fight, we used to have it and a lot of it.

nowt to do with a pity party just downright unprofessional defending lack of pride ie no guts no glory.

Liverpool won't rip us apart? Bournemouth did, Burnley have and they're in the bottom six; what logic says they won't? Obviously it's football so as they say anything can happen but where is your logic in saying one of the best team's in Europe won't?

Look back at the successful sides we've had, it's been all pride and passion, and fight - the right kind of fight - not what McBurnie did today and what he's normally about.

It's like this side and, yes maybe the gaffer need to see a reel of what has made this club tick over the years.

I don't think Liverpool will have the heart to - yes they will win, but they won't go for the jugular, if that makes sense? Teams around us, they absolutely will because they need that kind of a win. Liverpool will just want the three points. That's what I am saying.

Ok maybe I've had too much ale, I will be back to this thread tomorrow.

I just don't think that sacking Heckingbottom right now is what is best for this club. Not whilst there is no clear leadership from above his head.

Was at the game and was in shock after 15 seconds . Most blades round me were incredulous at the total lack of belief and effort . Archer fuck me bottled every 50/50 Fleck OMG ! Dressing room is lost 100% . Even die hard Hecky fans please give up for your own sanity . McB deliberately got him self sent off rather than face the torrent of abuse that was coming on 90 . And believe me I was behind the goal and a fag paper width saved us from conceding another 3 ! This is no longer about being relegated it’s about the ruins of a club that might easily be heading to league 1 and beyond unless someone, anyone I don’t give a fuck who , can inject some belief into these players . Today they disrespected that shirt we love .

The club is in free fall. I don't care whether our owner has money or not. What we have got is an owner who thinks he knows more about football than he actually does. Tinkering around with United World as a vanity project. Until he goes we are not going to he able to right the ship.

What we need is a Ralph Ragnick to see the club for what it is and provide a roadmap for direction and to recommend a manager and players. The problem is that just like Man U the powers that be won't like the truth. We have been promoted to the PL despite our manager having no clear philosophy of how we should play. In match decisions are woefull. There is no organisation or cohesion in how we play..

The players can't be arsed and are giving up. Recruitment has been want in general. We need a clear out of Owner CEO Manager and scouting.....and medical staff and fitness coaches.

Who ever thought McBurnie was good enough to wear our shirt, needs to go learn about sport. Awkward, limited and a wannabee tough man who does really stupid things. Fleck and Ollie are forgotten but not gone. Anel is going backwards. Baldock Fodders and Jack Robinson are the only players with a bit of passion for the club.

Somebody earlier mentioned Thomas as being useless. Larouci and Lowe are just as bad. WTF we buy Hamer Souza Slimane and end up playing Ollie all the time and now we bring back Fleck. Why did we buy Souza and Slimane? And Coulibaly?. Brewster???? Archer is good when he has someone to work off.,but of course we don't have someone he can work off.

There is no easy fix to this but if you don't recognise the club from top to bottom has been in serious decline it won't be fixed. This isn't a band aid job As Ralph said its open heart surgery.

Gordon Bennett. If things couldn't get any worse, Everton win at Forest. The good news is that Forest are in free-fall.

As a matter of interest. How many of the infamous 11 points did Derby have at this time of the season?

What did Hibs fans call him Paul Secondbottom? Ffs it's depressing.
The way this team plays definitely looks like that Hibs team. Today’s performance was just like the Hibs performance at Hampden that got him the boot. 10th, with one win when he was sacked they were 6th when Covid curtailed the season and were dropped 7th on points average. They finish 3rd the following season, says it all really.

6 points from 14 games, one more than we've managed. Their goal difference was the same (-28) but they'd scored and conceded 6 fewer.

We're a fucking shambles.

On the way home. I don't think our away support quite knew who to blame at the end but losing this game 5-0 is unacceptable and what losing a goal after 15 seconds means is that we weren't ready at the start of the game and that, while the state of our club is not entirely the manager's fault, does rest with Hecky.
Yeah, If only he had said: "don't concede within the first minute", all would have been fine!

Well I hope once you've sobered up your opinion has changed, Heckys got to go no argument.

Yeah, If only he had said: "don't concede within the first minute", all would have been fine!

Match preparation requires a little more than that I believe. I stand by what I said I don't see any evidence that our players are sufficiently motivated or in the right headspace right now.

Burnley played as a team, we didn't and we aren't even getting the basics right at present.

I'm expecting Liverpool to at least put 4 past us.
Especially if hecky is still manager but to be honest who ever is. It's only 5 days away and we ain't gonna improve enough by then.

If Liverpool really wanted to, they could better Newcastle's 8-0 win as Liverpool are still technically better in my opinion and our squad are at a new lowest ebb.

that was a disaster from 11.45am onwards. because of the forecasted snow & thought the official coach was safest option. but i forgot the official coach has that weird thing where it has to stop in a random place. & not go straight through. so because had to stay in hebden bridge from 11.45 - 1.30, which from what i saw was a poncy overpriced village. we caught heavy traffic & didnt pull up to the ground til 2.45 & had 10 mins to get into the ground. then the carnage of 1 male search person for 2000 people & by the point we had got in we were 1-0 down

what's the phrase its not personal its business. i will be grateful for his time here & there extenuating circumstances. but we just cant continue. its a shambles & in hindsight weve never recovered from Newcastle. but above all else what happened to our defence. we saw this v stuttgart. when guirasse tore us apart

what changed in the course of 1 preseason. how did our defence go from solid & organised just look at us at easter to that shambles. how come all the might of treble winning man city scored once from open play at wembley & yet Bournemouth shouldve been 7. burnley is 5.

"sacked in the morning" i rather it was sacked in the evening. i dont think i can wait til the morning
…we never recovered from losing to two late Spurs goals, then came Newcastle

Carry on like this and our season in the championship will be short lived with a season in fucking league 1 again.

True but it would be a statement that the Prince gives a F*** and intends trying to do something with the club.

So let’s pick John Fleck! He’s one for the future in the championship
