Injuries

Without panicking and putting the list into perspective, we know the following about that list so far:

Davies, RND, Bash, Egan, Anel, T. Davies, Mcburnie & Brewster are injured. No surprise.
Baldock is still slowly integrating back into it so probably has more rest days than others (hopefully)
Fleck, Traore, Osula played yesterday as you mentioned
Jebbo probably at running stage which I don't think they tend to video.

8 first team squad contenders out which sounds horrendous, but most arent a surprise to us.

I think you'll see Archer up top on his own again Sunday with Osula & Traore on the bench so we've got 3 strikers available.

I know we're all immune to it now, but it's sickening when you consider of those 8, 4 would likely be starting, and the other 4 on the bench.

Hecky chose to play Brewster when he was not really 100%
You know that for a fact though? The way it's been with Brewster he has to play sometimes because of the injury situation and to build up his own fitness. I personally don't feel we lose out if Brewster is injured anyway because he isn't good enough for this level, in my opinion. I'd rather Traore be given minutes.

I doubt you could be any more demoralised

I know this squad is better than it's showing but how can it be better with 50% of it's players injured? So yes its very demoralizing even more so when it looks like the management could be avoiding some of these injuries.

Lets see how the under 21's get on against brighton before we move on to your next ludicrous claim

Yep.. but if things were straight forward you wouldn't risk em for Brighton away when there's an international break and Bournemouth/Burnley coming up!
Re. this whole 'risking' business and way of talking about players and injuries. I can't ever remember it in Wilder's lexicon, or press conferences or management and I think its rubbish that Hecky has ushered in this era of worrying about our numerous crocked/semi permanent on the verge of being crocked players. Surely you are either fit or not.
I dont get it. Quite clearly Trusty and Slimane were fit at the start of the season, yet for whatever reasons Hecky decided not to 'risk' them in quite a few 'winnable' games - I get that it was tactical or for management purposes (as they were lacking fitness) but don't blame it on 'knocks' or 'strains' or other injuries.
And isnt Brewster the 2nd player to get injured/have a scan in a different part of his body to that which appeared to get injured? Or is it just Hecky trying to put the opposition off knowing what is wrong with our players?

Not sure the opposition care. Our injury issues have gone on that long any club doing it's research on us can assume that a fair amount of our players are injured constantly.

I don't think it's that simple to be honest - while it's not as much of a contact sport as something like American football where every player basically has some sort of knock after week one, I think the only yes/no thing that you can answer with this is "are you injured badly enough that you literally cannot play". Everything else is likely somewhere on a scale from "healthy, barring conditioning level not perfect from accumulation of minutes" to "really bad idea to play through this, high level of aggravation, but it's a cup final so what the hell"

I'm not really sure what your confusion is!

The human body is not machine that prints out reports saying every part is at 100% efficient and working.

Wilder had an insane run of fit players at our peak. I guarantee he talked about players not being fully fit etc sometimes during his reign.

We play Newcastle with 8 out injured get hammered . Tired newcastle playing with Injuries fail at Bournemouth
