Some interesting comments

More humble than I expected, they were definitely relieved more than anything.

The comments about it being a mediocre Citeh performance and Haaland missing the penalty I put down to the Bramall Lane crowd. The noise never stopped and I couldn’t hear the Manchester support on the audio stream.

Well done Blades!

He wasn’t beaten to it, he made a really bad decision to try and shepherd the ball out of play.

Yep. He's misjudged how far it would run and got punished, sure it is the easy thing to just launch it but that results in it coming back within ten seconds 99% of the time. He looked generally alright outside of that one moment

Taking the positives...we didn't get battered out of sight by the defending english and european champions. Wes had a good game, made a few cracking stops. Osula ran his blood to water against the best defence in world football. Oli McB looked great when he came on. Hamer looks a class player. Furious George mostly nullified Grealish for long stretches.

Genuinely think if we can play like that against most other teams in the division, with the addition of Archer up front, we've got a punchers chance at least of surviving.

Couple of individual errors, most notably Larouci who should just have hoofed it away for their 2nd, but I don't want to dwell on that. Overall I thought we gave a good account of ourselves against a team with hundreds of millions of pounds worth of players at their disposal, and I'm more optimistic about our chances over the season than I was a few days ago.

Good effort Blades. They should be proud of themselves for that performance.

Some comfort is this could be like a win. Three games in and we are not in bottom 3 mainly because we’ve shipped less goals than other teams. Could prove vital art end of season!

Oh do shut up ffs, it’s fans giving their opinions on the game. You know what this thread is about.
Some people only accept blade tinted comments. You’re not allowed to criticise Larouci for not just kicking it because he’s a young lad and he’ll get better.

We have to accept the result, not question how we could have approached it better and move on.

I’m gutted that a stupid mistake has cost us a point that we might need come May, but discussing why it’s happened isn’t allowed in the eyes of some.

I think they took their foot off the gas after their 2nd goal. Even in the midst of the wild celebrations when we scored, a little part of me "knew" they'd get another. Larouci fucked up, hopefully he learns from it, but I honestly think if they'd kept going at us at full chat they'd have got another chance and another goal.

Fair enough being annoyed at someone making a stupid mistake, but saying that the player who made it is "double dogshit" is beyond the pale.
It's not even close to "discussing it"

"Woodthorpe blade said:
He's not good enough to be called gash. He's fuckin double dog shit"

Absoloute rubbish
Criticising is fine, we could all see the lad dropped a bollock

Rushing on here to stick the boot in and Compare him to Dean Hammond is just being a fanny
How is that or any of the other umpteen comments Completely laying into the kid " discussing how we could have done better " ?

I’ve obviously not seen those comments and I’d ignore them if I did because they are a stupid comments.

A bit aggressive for a change Frank, you ok?

I think Woodthorpe might have had a couple of shandy’s today though.

I thought playing in the Premier League referees would be a lot better than in the championship Also var is available. I am wrong The ref against Palace was crap. and today against Man City the ref was a lot worse. He gave every 50-50 to Man City. gave a free kick to Grealish because he landed on his arse every two fucking minutes. It's hard enough to try and beat them. with the referee making every decision to them it's like having to beat 14 men nay mind eleven. I don't mind losing. but with the cheating and coning the referee isn't right. They have world-class players no need to carry on like they are doing. spoiling the game and you would think the FA and all football authorities, put a stop to it. Well done to all Blades Fans for terrific support in an electric atmosphere. It put Halaand off hitting the post with that penalty miss.

Forest fans showing us hate on the forum today. Anyone would think they played like Brazil in their prime.

No shame in that today, enjoyed this game against “the best team in the world” much more than the first two. Like how new signing yasser tries to run forward with the ball however….,,,,ffs lots of mistakes & slips etc costing us, Egan getting worse. Don’t really rate Triore either tbh so far.

Wes / Hamer great & bogle / MCB coming on seemed to make a positive difference, shame that karate kick thing by Anel didn’t go in 😂

Decent overall in the circumstances, far away from a cricket score, surely we can grind out some results playing like that against other PL teams?

Man City are not the best team in the world yet, the world club competition is later this year or early next. Then we will see.

B
Teams don't get relegated losing to man city, but the workrate and team structure bodes well against teams that will be down there with us, yes there were a couple of mistakes in defense but to be defending for 90% of the game that'll happen especially against the best team in the world
Est team in the world. Let's have our goal as an example of their magnificent defending. And for a few good laughs at Super Kyle too.
Bogle got three touches of the ball before it bust the net. FMD. 😃 😀 😄

Top defender! Spot on with what to do with his arms too

Rodri was quite complimentary about us in his interview (unlike all the City fans saying 'we are the worst PL team they have ever seen'):
