Gone Elsewhere Dean Henderson

It’s very disappointing that some players choose to think first and foremost about the money.
His best performances as a player were here. He would be assured to start games, and certainly get plenty of chance to show his ability again.
With the money he’s been on he’s already a millionaire, and he’s unhappy where he is and unlikely to play.
Shame he can’t turn to Man U and just say “I’m happy to go, reduce the fee and I will take only a small fraction of what I would be owed to sit here on my ass and get paid.
There has to be a figure where it’s financially sound for Man U to take that?

He’d open up many more options, be happy again and be back to his best, pushing for England spot.
Tbf to Henderson he thought he was promised the shirt off de gea. He doesn't think he was given that chance he was promised, fella in work actually says he did get a chance but didn't do great. I think the issue then was he was stuck as the backup, don't think Manchester United cared about the money. He could hardly throw a strop and refuse to play to force a move like say Ramsdale because he's a back up goalkeeper.

I think things could have been very different if he had come back to us. Sadly the whole thing was mismanaged at the Manchester end.

Is Henderson the £100k a week man we'retrying to get?

Sam Johnstone has done well for Palace since he finally became no 1. at the end of last season. Seems strange to spend so much to loan Henderson when it doesn't seem a priority position for them.

Really can't see it. Reports that Man U want to sell to free up funds. Plus his wages are astronomical and I reckon we'd struggle to cover them.

Seconded.* Seems unlikely.

That said, if Hendo really has been on Hecky's radar this summer, the ongoing uncertainty of his position at Man Utd might help explain why it's taken us so long to get around to using our entitlement to 2 domestic loans.

Hendo or Pellistri, if we're only allowed one? I'd go with Wes, if it came to that, personally.

* EDIT: thirded :)

Did someone say lets do a buy back for a curly wurly and a pack of sherbert dib dabs

It's a position we could do with strengthening. A keeper is the difference between relegation or not quite often.

It would mean the end of Pellistri, but we'd just have to go and find another.

When keepers the quality of Dean Henderson are available you bloody well get them.

Can't see it happening, but would be a huge coup if we could pull it off, even on loan. I do think we need to upgrade on Wes, and Henderson would be that. His personality too I think is something you can't have enough of in your team and rubs off on other players around him.

Also, if we do have hopes of getting McAtee, then I'd prefer that to getting Pellistri. McAtee would provide more stability in the team from last season which we're currently lacking at the top end of the pitch.

I would rather we sign Hendo and Macatee over pellistri. Strengthen 2 areas of the team.

Really not sold on Archer though. Seems to risky to me. If we have a chance of Origi then we should sign him.

This is just Henderson's agent trying to drum up interest. Time running out for him to get a move

The replies on this 🤷🏼‍♂️

Feel sorry for him really. Imagine the reception for him if we were able to get gim

A Fairly odd signing for palace (and for him if he can’t displace Johnson).

They have a seemingly excellent keeper and gaps elsewhere. Would be like us spending 20m to replace Anel and leaving JLT as a starter.

In an ideal world I’d have liked him back but it’s not like we had the resources to spend that money on a keeper given the state of the rest of our squad
