Questions noted chaps. The one about the 0871 number was one I intended to bring up anyway.

I think the OS and Bladesplayer questions may be similar to the 0871 question in that Utd are in a long-term contract for those services.

The questions to ask therefore would be a) when does the contract run until, b) what are the plans beyond that contract end date and is any preparation work being done in advance, c) is that contract still financially advantageous to Utd compared with possible lost revenue opportunities due to the poor quality of the services and then d) is there a get-out clause due to poor performance and if so, point b) again becomes relevant.

RE Blades Player - It might also be worth noting that the customer service has been terrible, I finally got confirmation of cancellation but as I pay annually I won’t get a refund, I presumably lose the ‘free’ month at the end of the season and I do not have a confirmation of the date when my subscription will cease.

The customer services dept took almost a week to respond and the email I got, as usual was cold, not even a thought about making things better. Really poor. There was however a survey link, which I could not give anything other than the minimum score on.

I think this is the first time I have seen a survey from Perform Group

I wonder if SUFC ever get to see the customer survey stats?

I have also just received a response from the refunds department at Perform wanting to know more as even she was not aware of Blades Player Issues!

I think you're on dodgy ground here Wapping, I don’t think that as fans we should be requesting to know the terms of commercial contracts, I think in many cases the answers will be that they are commercially sensitive, but I think we should be able to understand what SUFC are being told by their contractor in terms of performance of the service and also customer satisfaction

Sorry mate, I disagree. I'm not asking for commercial details, just broad brush items such as contract end date and comparison of revenue versus potential revenue, not actual figures.

If we don't ask these kind of direct questions, we will be fobbed off with platitudes again "we're locked into a contract" kind of stuff with no detail.

Why 0871 numbers?
Why is Blades Player shite?
Why is the SUFC website shite?

and what if owt is going to be done ?

oh and one last un ........why do some of the stewards act like SS officers?

Yeah fair enough, just think they can hide behind the question if it can be perceived as commercially sensitive though. And I don't think there is much value in finding out the contract duration, but there is in finding out about what they can do to sort the shite service out...

BTW I wasn't having a go or disagreeing as such, just questioning the question.... which is probably disagreeing :)

Linz

I don't know if this is done already, and how relevant this is to ask, however I'd like to know if the club offers the ground out for hire after the season at all?

I ask this as over here in farmville, Norwich do it once the season has ended and we (we being myself and most people I play club football with) hire it out for an afternoon which is great fun, and by the looks and sounds of it, a lot of people take advantage of what they provide as well, all of which is extra cash of course for NCFC while the ground would otherwise not be used and earning nothing, if it isn't done, perhaps it's something that could be looked into? It might perhaps not amount to much in the grand scheme of things, as I don't know what Norwich make on it. Basically we pay about £1500 I think to have use of the pitch and changing rooms, with access to a corporate bar area afterwards, every little bit of income will help though!

Toneights the neight !

Whats the betting not one 'awkward' question is answered with a straight answer ?

I'd place bets on the people who would ask the "awkward" questions suddenly having something better to do...

Last we heard there are still spaces available so if anyone was interested in going but thought you might have missed the boat, pop an email through to the box office.

You know, that kind of attitude really gets on my tits and it seems to be something deeply ingrained in the culture of Sheffield.

Of course, we all know that everything will turn out bad, so what's the point of trying..

If you have an issue with the way United is run, you - and all the other keyboard warriors - should get down to the Lane tonight and give them hell. You just might get some straight answers and, even if you don't, that kind of pressure can only have a good effect.

Corporate bullshit....and you know it Darren.

What's betting there are very few awkward questions asked, these fans forums tend to be love in's and mutual pat on the back sessions for brown noser's chosen in advance, unless you believe registering interest was only for numbers counting.

Linz says there are spaces still available. Why don't you (and Beighton Blade) apply for a place? If they refuse to let you in, you will have proven that the meeting is just for "bown nosers chosen in advance".

Is Mr McCabe going to be present Darren ?

From that response I take it that, like Micalijo, you have unavoidable commitments tonight as well....

Anyway, making smart arse comments on message boards is obviously far more constructive than actually engaging with the club's representatives.

Lols.

The registering in advance was to keep an eye on the numbers, so that a change of venue to the Platinum Suite could be facilitated if the Tunnel Bar was filled.

I await with anticipation the posts from Mic, BB and metalblade telling us they applied to attend but were refused entry....

It is my understanding that Mr McCabe will not be present tonight and if so I would suggest the answering of any 'awkward questions' would be impossible.

I've seen people saying that they haven't received a reply to their emails from the Box Office, but they should just turn up and names will be on the door. Unless anyone has evidence of a conspiracy... I'm happy enough with the fact it is purely a numbers issue.

Ok, so go along and ask the awkward questions and see if you are right. Who knows, McCabe might have given the people there a full briefing.

If you go down and ask the awkward questions and do get corporate bullshit, I will give £50 to a charity of Linz and Foxy's choice. Deal?

That is a very nice gesture Darren.

Thank you.

Thank you.

So are you going?

If you are, I suggest, that you post 3 awkward questions here that you will be asking. When you get back you can tell us what the answers were. We can then have a forum vote as to whether they amounted to corporate bullshit. If the vote says they were, I pay £50 to a charity, if the vote says no, you pay £50.
