I remember it fairly well, was a huge crowd for the time, we were 3rd and Bassett's Dons were 2nd, really close to the end of the season. We were well beaten in the end and I remember being really down about it. But we scraped up as we all know, eventually via that Burnley Hull match after we'd finished our fixtures.

Apparently opening match of the season and we won 3-0 it were relegayed to League 2 on the final day.

Remember the home game being the vital win that really helped us kick on (Thomas back pass and Hutch goal from free kick).
What I don’t remember is that horrific shirt with red shorts. My word, how to make something bad even worse!!!

HH thanks for the posting of Luton photos, most excellent, especially the 50's ones.
Are they from the same game as the weather is different and the players don't seem to fit. I would say 2 pictures are one game and the other 3 are from another. Recon I've nailed most of the players but last pic., 'Scodger' Latham heading away, with Ted Burgin but the other two, struggling especially Blade far right.
