The truth is that with 11 v 11 we were arguably the better side. The two goals were easily avoidable and yes they were on top for the most part after Wes got sent off, but they hardly blew us away.
Once down to ten men we were poor with and without the ball and I still thought we could have played out a draw.
Unfortunately the love in for Kompany is just indicative of how things are nowadays. Sky use superlatives and sycophantically wax lyrical about the blatantly obvious and it’s replicated across every division with each one having its own ‘darling’.

If a team is introduced as “manager’s team” i.e “Vincent Kompany’s Burnley” or “Frank Lampards Derby County” i always watch with a sick bucket as a general rule just in case David Prutton loses control of the raging hard on he has for all these in vogue managers.

The long haired pointy pig twat.

I think for live games, it’s crept in for every team. We are often referred to as ‘Paul heckinbottom’s blades’. It used to grate on me but I’ve kinda become desensitised to it (but only on live games). It’s when they are called it on general football / sports shows that it really smacks of a love in.
Prutton is generally a smarmy, greasy arse licky type that is up everyone’s arse. Jobi mcanuff to be fair tends to be quite balanced and doesn’t just toe the party line and agree with everything.
As much as Roth Keane May end up being a caricature of himself, at least he speaks his mind.

Fuckin hell. Kompany really does need to get over himself. You got beat, comprehensively. End of.
I hope you have recovered from his perfectly reasonable comments pre match.
Jesus wept you over sensitive soul.
Have a safe journey home.
See you again next season in the Premier league.

Christ on a bike. You lot are about the most bitter fans I have seen in a long, long time.
You seemed quite level headed for the majority of the season.
We don't get this level of vitriol from Rovers fans and we have one of the oldest rivalries in football.
Good luck for the rest of the season
You are coming up with us. Calm down lads

At least something as ridiculous as the sending off happened in a game we weren't expected to win. Obviously it totally ruined the game as a contest but I'd much rather it had happened tonight than against Cardiff, a game we will be expecting to win.

Hard to draw any conclusions tonight playing away at the top of the league with 10 men and I imagine it will be easy for the players to brush it off. It was probably as much as a freak game as our 5-2 win against them this season.

You a Bristol red?... No you a Burnley head. 😅
Welcome to the forum and enjoy your time here.

Comedy gold for the sending off and their second.
Robbo - just boot it.
Wes - don't foul him.
Bogle - where the fuck do you think RWB is supposed to play ?
Egan - head it to strikers feet ?

Really? After the reaction from you lot after the 5-2? Even your manager was extremely bitter after that. I’m sure even you are capable of recognising that he gave us no credit for that game.

What are you taking offence to on this occasion? Most of the comments I’ve seen are suggesting that we were slightly better until the sending off and then after that it was inevitable. Surely you don’t feel differently?

The manner of it fucking stinks though. The lack of intelligence of some of our players when shit hits the tits is pathetic.

Some of our players completely lose their heads when things go against them.
You would think the more experienced players would have shone tonight. But, no. We do miss a leader on the field. Billy is not on the field most of the time and Egan is not the leader we need. Could have used a Morgan tonight (not the fkin car) the fkin brick house.

It was Egan but if Berge had actually been marking someone maybe it wouldn't have been a tap in.
For me Bogle to blame for both first just not strong enough defending at the back post.
The second he was wandering about in the centre of the goalmouth doing nothing so Davies had to go across

Hope you recovered from your wild promotion celebrations. Utter silence all night and I’m sure someones tea nearly went flying at one point when someone got up to go to the toilet.

Outsung at FT too, absolutely pathetic.

Morning after the night before.

Disappointed but thought the ten battled well against the odds. Prior to the sending off Burnley seemed a little wary of us and had it remained 11 v 11 it would have been a different story.

Poor result but to be expected with the sending off

Robinson always has a clanger in him.
Hopefully Clarke and Lowe will be fit for these last few games.

Bogle kicked it straight at the keeper if you look. Not like he belted it in the stands

Good point , we do lack a "character" who drives the others onwards - I had thought Egan would grow into that role but he isn't vocal enough - we could do with an athletic midfielder who keeps his teammates on their toes.

A decent win will be excellent today. A prominent display by Illy, Jimmy, and Anel, and we will get that.
Always worried when teams at the bottom play us.
The Sheffield United way is to slip up against rubbish.

We need 3 more wins realistically to get over the line, let’s get one of them out of the way today!

I’m not that worried about Boro, but from watching them last night we can definitely take a leaf out of their book and actually go for the jugular.

We’re a better side than Cardiff, let’s attack attack attack and continue to attack even if we get in front
