What I can't understand, is if the ref has booked robbo for the penalty, he must have thought it was deliberate, so it must be a sending off

Think he bottled sending him off, as he wasn't convinced it was a penalty (so shouldn't have given it). I know he shouldn't do it, but think he wanted to give a yellow as he had some doubts.

If he was convinced he'd have shown a red.

It denied a goal or goalscoring opportunity, so I'd say by the rules he has to give the penalty, it's the rules they are wrong.
