Brewster

So it transpires the £23m fee we owe Liverpool for him is the reason why we are under an embargo.
Not impressed tbh.

I thought he'd replaced Dr Dre in NWA when I saw him escorting Jebbo down the tunnel at Wrexham.
Pathetic that wasn't it. Club shouldn't allow that. Should look presentable at his place of work. I wouldn't go on a teams call or into my office wearing a baseball cap... not even a nice one... but that one Brewster was wearing 🤪

Brewster owes us big time. Will he deliver. Personally I think not. How mant more opportunities should he get infront of yongsters wanting to bust a gut for us.
Really want him to absolutely smash it.
Anyone think he will?

If we go up we should loan him out with an option to recall in jan

No

I have never doubted that he wants to do well for us. His luck with injuries has been wretched. The kid is not moose. If he could bust a gut to get in the side I'm sure he would. I'm not giving up on him yet. There is a player in there. If he could get fit and stay fit. A big if at the moment, he could save us more money than he cost us next season.

You’re not a big club until you’ve spunked at fee of more than £20m on a poor signing. Tell me one that hasn’t.

He flopped before injury not really making an impact since relegation can’t see how he will do anything in the premier. Sell him ASAP (if anyone will have him that is)

He is and will always be a total waste of money as far as Utd are concerned.
I’m sure Utd should go through trading standards before paying Liverpool any more money.

He's never been fit enough to develop as a player , total disaster , and I'm sure his dodgy hamstrings were well known before we signed him.
Probably our single biggest mistake in recent years and still causing us problems with the embargo.
Idiotic , unnecessary purchase

After the 2017 world cup Brewster was a lad with the world at his feet.

What some people may not realize is that he suffered a horror knee injury the following season in 2018.

Some scouser mates of mine say he was never quite the same player after the injury otherwise he would definitely have been playing for Liverpool still.

Yet speak to Swansea fans, they love him and McBurnie.

His 57 games so far at the cost of appr. £ 400 000 pr game, hope it improves. - OR -Total of 4 goals at appr £ 6 mill each, hope it improves

And Liverpool are not daft enough to retain a player whose value will fall.
I'm convinced this was a panic buy for us , made without proper analysis of either the player or our immediate needs at the time.
Wilder described him as "one for the future" when we simply couldn't afford that kind of purchase - we needed all hands on deck to retain PL status.

Clubs of our size, cannot, and should not spend £20m on potential……. Bloody madness

Looking back it’s advisable to spend that amount on a player that has at least played in the Championship and has won several Motm , and depending on where he plays as some assists and goals !

Utter waste of money. Idiotic decision to buy him. Not a lot else to say.
At least there's past and present evidence that McBurnie can play football.
I've seen virtually no evidence that Brewster can, or that he's actually bothered.
