With Everton in panic mode, will they be back?

If so we need to take full advantage..

I would say we need to keep him. He made a massive difference when he came on yesterday, pace, height and strength to get behind their defence, he has done very well and last few games is starting to look like the player we hope he could be.

Plus, I really don’t think even Everton see him as the solution to Premiership survival. The board is already in enough trouble. I’m not sure buying a striker who is on the bench for a Championship club will appease the fans.

They see him in the same mode as DCL and a few other young players they had a spate of buying, raw but with massive potential they could develop and buy for relative peanuts. Even if some fail it only needs a couple of successes to make the strategy viable. Though they might have missed out on DCLs maximum return unless he can have a dramatic return to fitness and goal scoring.

I don't think the signing of Jebbison would save them, not that I don't think he will be a good player just that signing a development player might not be top of their priorities right now.

He still looks a bit raw, and sometimes not quite sure himself what he's meant to be doing, but he's definitely improving and he's putting in a lot of effort leading the line recently.

Certainly he's gonna be needed in the run in so no way should we loan him out and I'd be reluctant to sell unless we get a ridiculous offer

Port Vale want him. Given his recent displays and our crocked forward line, he’s going nowhere

He is going to need some time to put some meat on that slim19 year old frame difficult to play 90 minutes against some of these Championship defenders and expected to win an air battle.

Would have scored our 3rd yesterday if bogle hadnt got in front of him, if he had got it he would have been the nest messiah, we should keep him involved in the team

Do you think he would have?
I thought he'd overran it myself. He'd have been off balance trying to wrap his foot around it.

As in sell Jebbison?? Just when it looks like he's just about to find his stride with us??

You do realise the player may want the move don't you, it's never just a case of he's our player (see ramsdale transfer) and should this be the case, we need to maximise the fee, as they are desperate..

It was a question, about weather Everton would be back, because they're in the shit..

Everton may go down, but they won't stay down..

Not sure how Port Vale think this is a realistic target for them. Why don’t they throw their hat in the ring for Rashford too, while they’re at it.

He’s gone beyond the mid table League One level. If he were to drop down there, only Derby, Plymouth and Ipswich, as first choice starter would be acceptable for him.

But surely this is what his chance looks like - McBurnie getting fit but the club looking to afford him more time and not rush him, Brewster back by March and Ndiaye possibly missing a few weeks.

This is basically his opportunity, sharing the workload with Billy for another few weeks in matches we can probably win without being at 100%.

The issue is if we pick up one more injury.

You are lacking any option off the bench if either McAtee or Sharp pulls up. You’re then picking from an array of kids untried at this level and potentially scuppering Osula’s development for the sake of a match or two. This is exactly why he was quite reticent for Khadra to leave and not be replaced.

I'd be very surprised if it happens in Jan but Everton going for him would typify their atrocious scouting and transfer approach.

Jebbison may well develop into a Prem level player but he's not there yet and if Everton sign him expecting him to lead their charge to Prem safety, they're even more daft than I thought. However, I expect this is just some lazy 'journalist' dusting off an old story and there's nothing in it.

How quickly things change. With Jebbison clearly hitting form and now McBurnie back in struggling to see where new guy gets games. Unless the Shirecliffe Sniper is back in town.

Best thing for Jebbo is us get promoted and season loan him to a good championship team
Not just Jebbo in form! He seems to have matured a bit and doasnt get bullied so much.
He has still a long way to go but is progressing now after a period of no show.
Keep it going Jebbo he will be very important to us in the run in if so.

Agree, Like young McAtee, Jebbo has improved on his strength and physicality.

Thought his pace and movement gave us a new dimension last night, very different to when the older and slower Sharp is playing.
He kept their defence busy and you could see they were struggling to handle him and had to resort to the odd block and professional foul.

Keep him and Osula, and build on what we have for now!
These 2 could be our next Deane/Agana, especially if McB and Brewdog can't stay fit, and Sharp into his twilight years, were going to need them!

Strikers cost money so it makes sense to develop our own production line and we have a lot at a good age.

I’d do something like this:

Retain:
Ndiaye
McBurnie
Jebbison
Brewster
Sharp

Loan out:
Osula

Sign (one from):
Pukki (on a Bosman from Norwich)
Morelos (on a Bosman from Rangers)
Perez (on a Bosman from Leicester)
Stewart (on a Bosman from Sunderland)

That way Osula gets a chance to play regularly. We retain 4 young strikers who can improve and all bring something different. We add some experience that is affordable and doesn’t come with a big fee attached. You keep Bill there as club captain and insurance if you have injuries.

You’re not wasting money that way on silly fees, you have cover and most players have a reasonable chance of game time across the various competitions.

Osulas out of contract soon isn't he ?

Hes also got a broken jaw, serving a ban and is cup tied, but he's here now.

Yes, but other than that, a certain poster on here will have him starting in their side for the game at Wrexham....
