Had a bad knock in the first half yet stayed on for 90 minutes again. I'm shocked he's a doubt for Blackpool 3 days later

Yet again a player left on when clearly struggling. Self inflicted issues!!!
The injury factor is one thing, but when he was also playing poorly and there were 2 or 3 good options to replace him on the bench at 2-0 then 3-0 up..... wow. Speechless. Oh and there's then the asset protection factor. Even more speechless

Boggles my mind too mate. Nearly as much as anyone who can't see the repetitive bad choices from the touchline that exacerbate injury issues.

Berge is due a rest anyway, it'd be naive to play him in all three games. Hopefully it's just a knock.

I could list the injury's suffered and (alot of mis-treament he has suffered along with others but out of the huge respect i have for you) i will stay quiet.... 'Senior people' at the club like to sometimes get injurys wrong. They say berge could require 'treatment' when hopefully he might be back fit soon. Sometimes home and away supporters take the micky out of injured players like the Adebayo incident. Very bad slurs etc etc.

"So we were going to bring him off just before the goal and sending off but things changed and we had to readjust"

Who is coming on for him?

Before the sending off, Basham could have done a job there I reckon After the sending off, Bash has to go to CH and no other options for midfield. So he kept an experienced, international player on to see out the game

Berge took a very heavy tackle in the first half, he was shattered at 65 minutes, then went down to 10 men
But we left him on, strange decision really, with Blackpool a few days later
But can’t complain, 3 more points

And while he's pretty shit in the air, a tall player to help defend set pieces.

Gonna go full blown CaptainMorgans

The cynic in me thinks Berge is trying to complete 90 mins so he can prove to other clubs he’s not Darren Anderson.

Due a rest !!!

Poor tired out millionaire fucker

Should start trying to earn his money and look a little bit more fkin interested

People slag off Norwood but f me - ever present , ten years older and is probably in the form of his time here

Take a look Sander

Hey - and I’m a fan of his

Evening all,

Seem to be doing a bit better on the injury front, though Oli McBurnie's continued absence is a concern given how thin on the ground we are at the top of the field.

Osborn has done a hamstring... in Sheff Utd land that usually means he'll be out for at least six weeks, but hopefully this one is genuinely just a bit of tightness.

Egan misses the next game through suspension. I think we'll put Clark into CB with Basham on the left and Anel on the right, not sure Robinson will be ready to go straight into a 90 minute game and would be shocked to see us change to a back 4.

Berge has a knock that the coaching staff are playing down. I've listed him below as there's often a disconnect between the messages they put out and the reality on matchday.
Whether he's injured or not, I'd give him a rest. He's looked shattered recently and Doyle seems to be chomping at the bit.

Great to see Max Lowe back in action and making a great impact, along with Tommy Doyle.
It'd be great to see Bogle soon, think he could bring a lot to our attack.

Revised guesses below:

S Berge - 28th December 2022 - knock

J Robinson - 28th December 2022 (6 weeks) - hamstring

J Egan - 2nd January - (1 game suspension)

O McBurnie - January 2023 (3 weeks) - aggravated ankle ligaments

I Coulibaly - January 2023 (5 months) - knee ligaments

B Osborn - February 2023 (6 weeks) - hamstring strain

J Fleck - March 2023 - swelling around previously broken leg (4 months)

R Brewster - March 2023 (5 months) - hamstring surgery

R Norrington-Davies - March 2023 (5 months) - hamstring surgery

J O'Connell - unlikely to return (2.5 years+) - knee

Team to face Blackpool:

......................Wes
......... Anel.... Egan.... Basham
Baldock..............................Lowe
......Doyle...Norwood...McAtee
....................Ndiaye
.....................Sharp

I think Hecky said last week Robinson was fully fit again. He just don't make the 18 with Bogle, Stevens and Basham on the bench.

At 3-0 up, would it have been unreasonable for us to have gone 4-4-2 if options from the bench were limited?
