It would be fantastic to see him in a Blades shirt again but sadly I think it’s very unlikely. The club are unlikely to renew his contract as things stand, that’s the harsh reality.
I could be wrong but as I understand it, an injured player can get a payout from the PFA, however they wouldn’t be allowed to play League football again but they could play in non league.
Of course there is also a possibility he could make a claim from the club for negligence if that story about his injury cock up is true.
Where did the negligence rumors even come from? If there was any truth in them it would seem odd for him to be doing his rehab with the club, both from his and the clubs view point. Not sure it is true the injury setback negligence stuff. I got the impression JOC pushed himself too much after his first op and it meant he needed another op.
Ask CaptainMorgansNoticed he was on the pre match on SUTV did anyone watch and if so did anything get mentioned about his injury status?

Half a season to a league one club correct. May look at loaning him out lower down the pyramid until the window opens for professional teams to do business amongst each other in January. But nothing concrete in that regard, just keep your eyes peeledA short term loan as in a 3 month loan or half a season?
Presumably to a League One club or something like that?

Won’t be anywhere near the same player initially. I’d probably say he’d be more of a back up to Egan initially in a central role. Can’t see him up & down the pitchO'Connell on the left, Anel on the right, that's Champions League level!
