If I remember correctly, the Glazers only bought the club because the previous owners fell out with him over a racehorse. They’d “given” him this top horse, and he got substantial winnings from it during its career but then he wanted the stud rights too and dug his heels in.
If you consider that, his choice of replacement (no manager should get to choose who replaces him), his quitting when the team needed a complete rebuild and his constant presence at the club, there’s an argument that he’s undoing a lot of the good work he did.
Wasn’t he also partly responsible for bringing Ronaldo back, at the last minute, when the entire pre-season was based on a system that didn’t suit him, so that they had to change the system just before the start of the season?
Thought the horse racing fall out was between Ferguson and JP McManus

Hes on a wedge too, reportedly £50k per week, has an office at the training ground. meddles in everything, there was an article about Ronaldo last week going to Carrington for talks the article stated "Ronaldo entered the complex in the car behind feguson" why?

Hes just always there involved in everything, always peering over the managers shoulder.

Glazers get shit from Man Utd fans but to be No1 on the list of biggest Net Spend of the past decade shows that the owners putting money in isnt the problem
It’s not just about the money though, it’s how you run the club. As you say, Fergie shouldn’t be there and they should have had a proper DoF making the footballing decisions. They’re like very rich versions of Chancer.

Well that’s The thing isn’t they have a DOF or in their instance a technical director…..Darren Fletcher aka Sir Alex’s puppet

Think he's just seeing out his contract half teasing a return he knows will never happen before eventually claiming compensation

Watching the latest episode of Under the Cosh with Tommy Spurr, he said when his injury looked career ending he was put on a sports science course with players who are in the same boat, he then listed a bunch of players on the course with him and he mentions Jack O Conell

I heard that but was recorded 2 years ago.

Liked duffy saying jack kicked anyone on his side of the pitch , gave everyone a good kick, said after that they always went to the other side of the pitch, cant say i ever noticed it but jack appeared to agree with him, thought both jack and duffy were very good today how i wish we still had prime jack and bounce slayer

Running is one thing... twisting, turning, impacts, high intensity running, etc are a whole other level.

That’s what I thought.

Being fit and healthy is one thing but

Being match fit, able to sprint, twist, turn and take hard tackles and kicks is something entirely different.

You're spot on.

I just really hope the club continue to look out for him.

We're not obliged to, but I think it's the right thing to do. Coaching badges, training courses, some sort of role in health & conditioning, whatever it is to smooth his transition into life after football. If indeed that is what awaits.

I think the fact he's often seen in videos with the squad at training/games would suggest we might be wanting to keep him around in some capacity even if he doesn't return to playing, coaching in the academy and moving up through the coaching ranks maybe?

He seems like a good lad to have around the squad.

I think if we were helping him just out of obligation we'd be paying for him to have rehab elsewhere or different times to team training.

True but it sounds like he is keen to get back playing and believes it can happen if he rehabs correctly.

If he is doing courses then the PFA offer a fair amount of assistance. The club may be generous but it is not necessarily needed.
