Last night my 5 year old daughter gave me a hug and said "i love you Daddy" and in that moment all the woes of the weekend vanished. Even when the Wendys at work this morning have been trying to get me to rise to the rubbish they are spouting i have simply smiled back. I am in a happier place this morning. I love my family, my partner, my Daughter and my Son, sometimes they piss me off but i still love them more than anything. I also love Sheffield United, just not as much, and sometimes they piss me off too but i still love them. I have already renewed for next season so whichever division we find ourselves in i shall be there once again to enjoy the highs and despair at the lows. UTB.

I'm still annoyed, but I don't know why I expected any different.

Then again, I'm bizarrely optimistic about the play-offs. I might still be drunk from Saturday though, so who knows...

your optimistic like the supports of the other 3 teams the playoffs is a lottery we have as much chance as the other teams.

I've been buoyed slightly by the optimism of my father. He has a passing interest in the Blades, my support for this beloved club was mainly influenced by my grandfather.
My dad is forever pessimistic when it comes to United, but speaking to him yesterday he was surprisingly optimistic. He reckons Wycombe will get something at the sty this weekend, leaving a clear path for us if we win.....he's rarely wrong and has predicted every high and low thus far in my 22years supporting United.

I have my doubts and can only see the Pigs winning at home. :/

48 hours on and still very disappointed but starting to feel angrier with the players too. Not one of the starting 11 performed well - in fact for 60 mins, Collins apart, they were shite. They were given an awesome welcome by 30,000 fans but not one of them delivered the level of performance that was needed. A massive match and a massive opportunity and they xxxxxx it up big style. We knew we needed to start positively with pride & passion so why didn't we?

2 days later and still utterly deflated, but also, just like Deano, incredibly pissed off at the team for turning in a performance like that for two thirds of the game. The one time more than any other this season where we need a top drawer performance from start to finish and they don't bother to show up.
