We aren't going to play our starting XI before Watford. Thats a big concern.

Is it? Seems fairly standard these days - most of the tactical work is done in training and training games (which I'd guess there will be at least 1 of between tomorrow & next monday)

My guess is Trialist is a RWB. Nathan Byrne seems like it could be a potential, just released from Derby, and would be good cover at the position.

Other things to take away from this

To be fair its probably only Ollie Norwood missing tomorrow. I think he knows his role in the team well enough.

Big difference when the team doesn't train on the day of the match look much sharper. Tom Rialist from Palace looks pacy a bit out of position when defending but can glide past players. Back 3 never really troubled Bash looks fitter. Robinson at CB is scary but he can see whats going on in front of him. Stevens got in some good crosses. Norwood and Arblaster comfortable in possession. Coulibaly looking stronger 3 good shots one which hit the post. Jebbison took his goals well and missed a sitter. Its not sticking for Osula but credit to him got an assist for the second.

The only chance Burton had produced a good save from Amissah from a free kick. Good of the ref to make us stand 20 yards back!

Much better and no Kevin Gage on SUTV - bonus. Lets see what second half brings.

That's because the commentator is sat in the stands, rather than a sound proof booth. I don't think they use any ambiant mics, maybe one on the camera, and just rely on the ambiant sound coming through the commentary mic. Hence it sounds much better tonight.

Just about the perfect preseason performance. Totally dominated the game, scored 3 nice goals and could've had more. Exciting performances from some of the young lads looking to play their way into contention. What a prospect Arblaster is! I thought the trialist did ok.

Good workout. Coulibaly and Jebbinson done their prospects no harm. Good third goal from Stevens. Lost momentum when Arblaster and the young trialist went off because both had the ability to float past players.

Good to see players running at the opposition with ball from midfield both Arblaster and Coulibaly did this. Bash looked a lot sharper.

Young trialist got better as the game went on. Lost control a few times early on but has a significant change of pace and was prepared to run at players. Positionally caught out a few times defending but when going forward was a threat and worth looking at again imo because he has that turn of pace and ball control.

Will be interesting to see how the team against Barnsley respond.
