Let's be honest, the club probably need to raise cash this summer and offload more of the big earners off the wage bill, I think this is realistically who the club would be looking to sell if the right offer came in:

  1. Sander Berge (probably due to wages and worry he'll wind down his contract, also one of the few players we have that would actually command a decent fee)
  2. Oliver Burke (been poor in a united shirt but not as bad as people make out, can't see anyone matching his wages though or paying for him)
  3. Max Lowe - will the second half of season injury cost him a permanent transfer to forest ?
  4. McBurnie - in my opinion the worst signing the club has ever made but unlikely to be any takers
  5. Jebbison - loan would be the ideal scenario but if someone like Everton came in for a big bid he could be one to go.

Baldock - Not great at defending, poor at attacking, occasionally angry. Should still have some transfer value.
Stevens - Shit for two seasons, if anyone offered any money for him we should snap their hands off, especially if Lowe stays.
Fleck - Wildly inconsistent and a complete liability when he's not on it.
Egan - A bit hit and miss, if we're ever going to sell him now would be the time and replacing the central centre back is the easiest one to do.

We have offloaded 3 big wage earners however we need to be considering the shape of the squad. If we keep Berge and Ndiaye in the pyramid up top is it Brewster that slots into that and Sharp off the bench or do we need to be looking at someone else. In an ideal world keeping the stability and getting the injured players back (apart from McBurnie) it would be enough.

Mate what planet are you on? Thank god you have nothing to do with running the club or the playing staff

Think what you’ve outline will be the plan should Berge stay with Bogle back as well as Brewster we should still be quite creative upfront without the individual inspiration that MGW brought.

I think Dean Hammond was the worst we ever signed but McBurnie's not too far adrift.

Oliver Burke was as bad as people make out and even worse than that.

The players on the most money will probably be the ones shipped out as well as any player with a good transfer value, if Berge stays it shows our intent for next season but tbf he’s he’s going to have suitors with big pockets, may be Egan as he had clubs after him last season I can’t see us turning down reasonable offers.

Egan has been one of most reliable players for the last Few years, not without error but bit of a rock

Tall ball winning box to box midfielder - yep, every team in every league want one of these, do they exist or is it a cliche ?

McB is up there, but for his contribution to 1st prem season he is eclipsed by John Ebrell who cost us £1.2m 25 years ago for 45 minutes

Bad recruiting has left us with average players on big contracts that no one will take off us

This month we have let £4m Freeman & £10m Mousse leave for free
McB will probably go (if at all) for a £15m loss

Enough of the absolute bollocks now.

Baldock is a good player, hes far better defensively than Bogle, and works brilliantly with Bash on the right, he can also score goals, and Bogle is a more attacking, less defensive version, 2 players ideal in that position, depending on the opposition.
Remember George having Zaha in his pocket when Palace visited the lane, he was unplayable that day.

Norwood, although he is hit and miss, is still very good at this level, and often dictates our play, and makes us tick.

Fleck is a decent midfielder, but, he could be replaced in the starting 11, by a younger, taller, faster player, but, same could be said all across the middle.
Still good at this level.

Burke, well, he can fuck off.
But, we do need to think carefully about the attacking options next season.
Personally, I'd send Jebbo and Osula out on loan to L1 sides, and bring in a new striker, to play with Brewster, as, as good as Billy is, he is getting on now, and we need to think about the future.

Egan, still one of the best CB in the championship, he does make the odd mistake, but still a very competent player.
We do however, need to look closely at our defensive options!
We need more competition in defence, and also, competent players to provide competition.

Keepers, as your were.
Hopefully sign Davies on an extended deal, and let him and Wes battle for number 1.
Both good at this level.

Steven's..., well, getting more injury prone, and becoming less reliable.
Think with Lowe and RND on the books, his time is coming to an end, unless Lowe goes to Forest that is.

Whatever, we need a striker, defenders x2/3, midfielders x 2 a decent MGW replacement is a must.

Players who were too slow for this season in the Championship, will be a year older and slower.
Players who spent the last pre-season conditioning themselves to play in a patient system, and then had to train at a higher intensity to accommodate a high energy system midway through the season, will now have a full pre-season being conditioned to play in the system they're going to be playing for the season.

Also, hopefully this pre-season will consist of more than a trip to play Donny Youth and a match against some greengrocers in Gibraltar.

Fitness levels, physicality and resilience to injuries will be markedly improved next season, you can bet your house on it!

1 assist in 45 minutes is a hell of a record to be fair

All these ageing players like Stevens, Fleck etc are on great contracts, noone is going to match those wages so assuming they will leave due to performances is not how it works in afraid

Also, as resources decline we need to make difficult decisions on certain positions. Carrying 2 starting calibre RWBs being one of them
That’s exactly where I’m coming from, we can’t have Baldock and Bogle on the right and Stevens, RND and Lowe on the left, plus cover for both in Osborn.
Lowe or Norrington-Davies will have to be moved on if there is interest as there’s unlikely to be any for Enda. If there’s interest then Bogle or Baldock will also need to be sold. It’s not a sensible choice for us to keep all of them and expect re-enforcements.
