You do know that to raise finance, you also need proof of wealth? If he has it, what’s the issue?

In the UK you can use an accommodation address for Companies House. Your place of residence although required doesn’t appear on the public record. I’d guess it’s similar in at least some parts of the States.

Would we accept a bid on the club who’s registered office is this? Seems to be an important point for some.

True cynique but the reclusive types aren’t normally the ones who buy sports teams as loss making vanity projects as attention comes with the territory especially English football.

Except that there's actually quite a lot of publicly available information on this guy for anyone who wants to do a little digging, and all of it points to him being a businessman of fairly modest means--rich by our standards, certainly, but not the sort of person you'd think would have the money to run a loss-making football club.

His wife's former business also had that address listed.

Maybe it's not his house. Maybe he has a massive office somewhere. Maybe all of these rather tinpot looking business ventures going on in his name are actually the front for an impressive business empire. Maybe there's a good reason why he made a verbal offer to buy Newcastle but then fucked off with no explanation. Maybe he's a secret billionaire.

But I think there are reasons to be concerned about this guy. Not a smoking gun, perhaps, but enough to concern me.
 
Maybe Henry has heard about the points sections coming this season for Bornmuff,Forest, Luton Milwaaawwww, Boro and the Dog Botherers?

Just so we don’t get bogged down in utterly pointless pedantry, I’ll be clear about what I’m saying here:

In the Championship, we will be a loss making venture. Anyone looking to buy the club while it’s in the Championship will need to have the funds to cover those losses. If they want to fund a promotion push, they’ll need to pump in even more of their own money. I’m concerned this guy doesn’t have that sort of money.

Agree or disagree?

I think the issue is no one knows. The thing is if he comes in and we get promoted we are all happy, cash or no cash.

I have just spoken to a mate of mine from the toon and he says

The man has no cash and for some reason only was involved so the Saudis could do a deal

Not sure what that means but the toon don’t rate him at all
