I'm answering your point about consent. Surely people should be equally outraged about all three, no?
I wouldn't go so far as to say I'm outraged by all three; just dislike them all. I prefer a slight whiff of smoke bomb to a whiff of cigarette smoke. However I'd rather have someone smoking next to me than have someone holding a smoke bomb.

Just about every home game I stand just inside the Bramall Lane end of the South stand and muse over the fact that none of the vapers or smokers take a blind bit of notice of the 7 (might be more) signs telling them not to!

I'm not outraged by any of them either. The point I was rather ham-fistedly trying to get across is that people moaning about smoke bombs are strangely ambivalent about the others. The consent discussion was brought to the table by another poster.

I recognise that vaping/smoking is certainly an issue but can we not get back to the topic at hand?

I thought this was a thread about smoke bombs? If you want to chat about vaping shouldn't you start a new thread?
I want to chat about your assertion regards consent and why you and others see there being a difference between the three. I'm not sure what you're wanting me to say that I already haven't. I have no issues with pyros at the match. The same as some have no issues with smoking or vaping illegally. I don't condone anyone throwing them. Anything else?

If I see anyone setting one off near to me, you better believe I'm taking a picture and making a note of their row and probable seat, and then reporting it to the club.

Bunch of fucks, lot of em.

Special mention to the soft twat who threw a can of beer at the away end from the family stand last night, hope they find you and you get what's coming to ya
It's pricks like that who caused the left end of the South Stand to be shut for a long time a few years ago.

I don't. You've made that up.

Your opening gambit in reply to something I posted was about consent. I've explained twice now that I have no issues with pyros if used correctly. Other posters have commented about their disdain for them due to causing breathing issues but do the same people moan about the vapers and smokers? No whataboutary on my part, if people disagree then fine it's a forum.

That's literally an example of whataboutery 😂

In that case we have differing opinions of what that means. So what point are you actually trying to make? What question do you need answering? I there isn't one what was the purpose of your original post?

Not sure if it’s a different one but I’m on gangway E. One landed next to me on the steps and was on fire. A woman quickly stomped it out but only after it had almost set a poor lads leg on fire. His sock had scorch marks. Have one, hold one, whatever. I don’t mind them but Jesus fucking Christ don’t throw the bastard thing.

Fucking state of them socks.

Throwing flares into the crowd - kids having a laugh. Sarcastic wind up? 3/10. Genuine comment? No comment.
Throwing a 'flare' , and letting off a smoke bomb where you're sat, are two really different things.

A flare has flames coming out of it, and if thrown is going to cause a major problem.
Letting off a smoke bomb? I struggle to see the damage it will cause.
Like this absolute cunt nutter

Enclosed spaces with big crowds are inherently dangerous, and to keep risk to a minimum, there have to be restrictions on what people are allowed to do in them. Take a look at the video link above, at around 20 seconds, at what happened on the Kop 60 years ago today. It was about 20 yards away from where I was standing, and was seriously scarey. Fast forward almost 30 years to Hillsborough, and because fences had been erected to keep idiots off the pitch (I oversimplify for brevity), almost 100 people died in a similar crush because there was no escape onto the pitch. In the same era, people lost their lives at the Bradford City ground because rubbish caught fire, from a discarded match (if I remember correctly). Part of growing up is to learn that actions have consequences. Running on to the pitch during a game or taking combustible items into a football ground is something none of us should do. They are dangerous in a crowded space. If you think that football is not worth it without one or other of those things, then find another hobby.

Not verified or geo located this but mate said this was the back of the kop on the 4th goal last night. Disgraceful scenes. But seems legit
Take note bellends - nicely held and not thrown.

And this is an meant as an appreciative comment and in no way intended to marginalise or offend and I understand it goes against what these ladies are trying to achieve..but can I just say - Capital Norks.

You need to add your pronouns to your bio, innit

I’m but a simple man who enjoys simple pleasures hence my comments recognising the physical attributes of (some of) those commendable ladies.

Whilst I do enjoy trying to be grammatically correct at a basic level, I know not of the things which you speak about.🤣

In my often juvenile little mind, women can be bellends also if that’s what you mean Swiss?

As someone who has never smoked or vaped, but having no grown up around smokers for much of my life, neither has ever caused any breathing difficulties. Unlike with flares and smoke bombs at away grounds. Albeit mild, it may be different for others.

Surely no one is making a sensible comparison between the two, thrown or not?

I was at Woodford Town on Friday night. They had a drummer, maybe two, side snare drum, not "bass". All you could fucking hear was his fol-di-rol fill ins & syncopation. Not how to do it at all. Set the metronome, get it happening, back off.

tbh I never noticed a drummer (shows how well he did his job), but that was a cracking, noisy, lively & indeed young kids & family atmosphere in the side stand to our right.

I hope there was a drummer, I was stone cold sober so if the drumming was in my head there is a bigger issue.....

Get your mask back out. Do you ever walk along a main road? Never been to a bonfire or had a BBQ? It's kids having a laugh, get over yourself.
Err, having bbq or bonfire doesn’t involve incendiary flares that a) burn at intense heat and b) belch out thick clouds of smoke. I’m asthmatic and being in close proximity to one of them would be guaranteed to trigger an attack.
Oh, and if you still think it’s a laugh, please chuck the coals from your barbie into your neighbour’s garden when they’re having a family do. Hopefully they’ll come round to thank you for being such a jester.
