I have to say that your overall summary is probably the best piece of work you have ever produced .

Well considered , wonderfully descriptive , highly perceptive and with more than a dash of wicked humour , it made for a thoroughly enjoyable and thought provoking read .

Well done . 10/10
And well said ISJS. Beautifully articulated. ❤️ 10/10

we were hardly flat v forest
We were poor v Forest but got away with it - and i mean a point, even though they scored in the last minute to equalise .

As someone has posted - some on here are wrist slashers , some see no evil , some try to be fair and balanced .

We have done well since Hecky took over , we have done exceptionally well at home results wise and some performances have been great but some have been flat . We have recently been really poor away from home demonstrating a distinct lack of desire ,urgency and seemingly devoid of an offensive plan - notwithstanding who's in the team. It takes nothing to be at em and look up for it . We are talking about a squad of professionals here , not amateurs who can be great one moment and really off it the next. Honed athletes who have been through the selection and qualification process to finally represent a professional club at Championship level.

We are truly poor away from home at the moment - fact - thats unfathomable in terms of desire to press and play with urgency when we have so much to gain. Don't ask me - ask 4,000 travelling supporters who , by and large , witnessed another uninspired, lacklustre performance that they find difficult to identify with.

It`s not the result as much as the attitude resulting in performance.

Got to get our act together or as said above we don't deserve, and won't, be going up. If we do it'll be a miracle and we will be back down after 1 season with this lot. Need a forensic look at the squad and some hard decisions to be made , - and quick.

As my daughter would say although I’ve added the ending ‘btec Wilder’ that’s what Hecky is, he fits perfectly with the players and systems we have available just as Kevin Blackwell did all those years ago! but I don’t particularly blame anyone as we tried this years ‘Bryan Robson’ (Slav) and that didn’t work although with no money it was doomed to failure the real problem is we have no money to spend on upgrades and soon when we don’t go up there’ll be players leaving mostly for free to be replaced with players that will be mostly free So forever decreasing circles.

These supporters deserve praise, and then some, to go and watch these away performances. I readily admit I dont go to away games myself , for a variety of reasons-old age being one of them!, but I have the highest regard for those fans who do.

Glad it's not just me refusing to subscribe to the hype surrounding RND. I was beginning to think that some elves had snuck in during the night and turned the lenses in my specs back to front, such is the clamour from some quarters that the second coming of Roberto Carlos is here.

Sums up perfectly our current malaise. Losing wouldn't be so bad if we had a go at the opposition. The players have to prove they want to get promoted on the pitch and away at the moment the mentality is don't worry we'll put it right in the Home games. That won't get us in the play offs.

Reminded me a little of our first Danny Wilson season when Ched went to prison right at the end of the season where he’d scored that many goals we’d forgotten who else could hit the back of the net and we were in the final 2 games (and later play offs) where we hadn’t got a goal scorer (Chris porter took his place bless) the pigs went up because of our inability to score and then the same in the Play off final. I love our Billy but it shouldn’t just be down to him!
