In our departed hero's case, crossing the ball is a rarity because he has the same phantom pace as Kozluk and no ingenuity or guile with which to beat his full-back. Any cross that he occasionally manages to deliver is more likely to end in the stands than the goalmouth. That's why he will spend the rest of his career hopping from club to club, lower league to lower league, sitting on a piece of wood watching others play football.
