Can’t get remotely excited about this kid. When he’s actually shown something in grown up football I might do. Until then…

Fanfare for u23 prospects is always a reflection of a failing first team.

No reflection needed first team been failing for 18 months or more less a fanfare more a desperate plea for a player any player to show some Blades spirit and fight for a win.

Yeah it shows we are in a state when we are relying on the young uns I suppose, but I am viewing this lad as I would view a young and unproven loanee, but (and crucially) one who has a point to prove.

Get him involved and part of attacking midfield cadre with Freeman, MGW and Didsy. He'll learn a lot and hopefully contribute too.

The last time we got excited about the youth was when we got relegated to league one. Maguire was one who made it but we were equally hopeful for Slew, Terry Kennedy, Elliot Whitehouse and Callum Mcfazdean from that side.

Out of those four TK was the standout. His knees were a huge problem for him, but he looked capable of making it at a decent level. Shame for the lad.

Yep

HIS FIRST NAME IS ILIMAN HIS SECOND NAMES NDIAYEEEEEEE. HIS SECOND NAMES NDIAYEEEEEEE

So....
How good are we talking?
How far off is he?
Whats his best position?
Whats does he bring to the squad?

Good news after a disappointing end to the transfer window attacking wise.

hope we can see him integrated into the first team squad and he has a chance to show what he can do. If he’s half as good as the hype suggests, he’ll add something to the squad.

Let’s not expect too much too soon, but there’s a clear path way there for him after we missed a couple of targets. Go out and grab it now lad!!

Versatile attacking player wide or through the middle he’s the pick of the 23’s but he’s still just a youth player with a lot to prove

Really hope he can be that flair we desperately need. As others have said, it’s important to be very patient though. He’s no prior league experience.

21 isn't as young as it uses to be in football though is it?
Other than his contract, what else is stopping him breaking into the first team? Size? Consistency? Because even in the Premiership it shouldn't have been that hard to at least push our attacking players a bit.

Been saying for weeks that we should have been treating N'Daiye as a new signing and getting him in the squad. But not sure this kind of hype is good for him. Unnecessary pressure put on him by the club due to their inability to secure wingers in the transfer window. Hopefully we as fans can give him time and patience to adjust to the senior game and make mistakes.

Good. Hopefully he can rotate with Freeman or be part of two 10s behind a striker. His debut was very composed.

In terms of Academy players breaking through to the first team I understand he’s not Brooks level, more Lee Morris.

Agree, although I suppose how things have played out has presented him with an opportunity he may not have otherwise had - maybe if we’d started amazingly then he might have been less inclined to sign? We need someone to bring a spark to this team, fingers crossed he’s the one to do it.
