Mate the guy tried to resign twice. He didn't have the stomach for the fight and walked.

Keeping him on wasn't viable.
It's quite pathetic the spin that some keep trying to put on it, even so called journos with their noses out of joint.

Sounds like another youngster that’s too afraid to leave the comfort of home to challenge himself. Will probably be turning out in the Segunda within a year or two. Exactly the same as many a player at Man U/Liverpool et al. It never felt realistic this one did it?

I genuinely feel like the reputation of the Championship us underestimated and is now a breeding ground for top talent more than its ever been. Look at the likes of Buendía. Like what you said though these young players would rather stay on the bench / in the stands for top teams rather than truly test themselves. The truth is that they'd probably find out that they aren't as good as they or their agents think they are.

.
Reality is he’s nowhere near starting for them and has therefore grown up learning tippy tappy keep ball and playing against lower level players regularly….a level similar at best to Lg1.

If this is the “United World Transfer team” at work then there’s no wonder Wilder laughed them out of the club….does anyone seriously expect…
1- that he will swap Barcelona for Sheffield
2- that he will be up to the pace of English football
3- Survive the more physical aspect of the game

Because if you think yes to any of those you’re dreaming. If this is who the so called transfer experts suggest will transform the current fortunes of the club then it confirm that they are inept and not fit for purpose.
You can’t just Chuck one or two of these types of lads in and expect it to work, you need the model of other clubs with foreign players as the vast majority and expect the British based players to conform
1. If he’s a professional he might not care where he lives if the opportunity if right
2. David Brooks
3. David Brooks

Yeah file this under not 'appnin. We are definitely the bottom of the list there.

If he signs maybe we can rehash the pina colada song?

Patrick Roberts it is then

What kind of moron would prefer strolling over the Ponte Vecchio, over a fast paced walk, avoiding the local spice heads on Lady's Bridge?

I was about to post something very similar S64, not that I'd imagine too many footballers would be any more familiar with the main attractions of Florence than they are the crime hotspots of Sheff :)

I wonder how often location (over the league and salary) does come into the thinking of players if they have a choice when moving clubs. The choice between Florence and Sheff should be fairly simple, even for the dumbest of characters. It's fairly well known that clubs like M'boro and Sunderland had to pay a fair bit above market rate to persuade players to join when they were in the top flight. To be fair, it would have taken quite a bit extra $$$ to persuade me to live somewhere like M'boro over Valencia, Seville or Florence.

Problem is the place is full of churches. Once you cross the bridge its just a housing estate so you have to walk back past loads of people trying to sell you fake paintings. Also got food poisoning there. Ladys Bridge everytime.

As an alternative how about Jaden Philogene-Bidance on loan from villa? Looked class in their recent win v Barrow and he's really highly rated by them. Was on the bench v Brentford on Saturday.

Have a heart.

If he does well, imagine your son or daughter wanting that on the back of their jersey at Christmas!

Quality of life has to play a pretty big role especially for permanent deals. Loans I’d imagine players can suck it up and view it as an in and out job. But with permanents all that generic life stuff must come with it is the missus happy, what are the schools like for the young un, how hard is it to see friends and family etc.

Agree Yogi - Sheffield over Florence would always be a tough sell though :)

Your evening is not complete until you encounter a spice head.
