From what I've read many Barca fans want him given a chance in the 1st team but Koeman doesn't fancy him and prefers Braithwaite. Creates and scores goals what not to like.

How am i seeing people angry with Barcelona Bs captain and someone on the fringes of Barcelonas first team. We’re Sheffield United ffs, I remember getting giddy and Nathan Thomas
How times have changedI remember getting giddy about Chris Guthrie.
Do you work for the Star? It’s ok being on the fringes of a Barca side, sounds great.
Reality is he’s nowhere near starting for them and has therefore grown up learning tippy tappy keep ball and playing against lower level players regularly….a level similar at best to Lg1.
If this is the “United World Transfer team” at work then there’s no wonder Wilder laughed them out of the club….does anyone seriously expect…
1- that he will swap Barcelona for Sheffield
2- that he will be up to the pace of English football
3- Survive the more physical aspect of the game
Because if you think yes to any of those you’re dreaming. If this is who the so called transfer experts suggest will transform the current fortunes of the club then it confirm that they are inept and not fit for purpose.
You can’t just Chuck one or two of these types of lads in and expect it to work, you need the model of other clubs with foreign players as the vast majority and expect the British based players to conform

Getting paid to watch 38 Barca games from behind the subs bench, or Preston away on boxing DayI don’t get this, you have been told the manager doesn’t see you in their plans at all, he’s not even in the first team and he would rather stay and sit on the bench then go out on loan and be a potential star.
He gets same money. Only difference is he either starts or wastes time on the bench/ Spain 3rd tierGetting paid to watch 38 Barca games from behind the subs bench, or Preston away on boxing Day![]()

Wilder didn't laugh them out of the club
He got face on and left
So he left the club because his chairman and recruitment team asked him to look at other options than the ones that got us relegated ?According to the Prince Wilder refused to entertain any of their suggestions.
I reckon Wilder left when they started to demand he take them more seriously and look at them/sign them.
Depends how long you think the manager will remain at the club koeman isn’t exactly secure in his roleI don’t get this, you have been told the manager doesn’t see you in their plans at all, he’s not even in the first team and he would rather stay and sit on the bench then go out on loan and be a potential star.

No you've just made your own up InsteadIn other words when they made it clear they no longer trusted him and began to interfere with his management of the club. Thus undermining his authority.
Job untenable.
Wilder accepted it was his relegation, and should have been allowed and trusted to put it right this season. If he had failed (like we are anyway) this season as well he couldn’t have had any argument or leg to stand on.
That’s my take on it, nobody has to agree, like or anything else. Having only been fed the Princes bullshit (as has the new manager too it seems) we can all surely see that the truth is somewhere in between that and the version Wilder will give one day.
Until then I’m not stupid enough to believe and accept one version of events.
I think it's fare to say that this is probably another pie in the sky non event, as was Diallo and one or two others
No point in making this an epic Sam Morsy long thread
Close the book on this one and concentrate on the other 30+ year olds chomping at the bit to join us on loan
Feyenoord have stopped trying to sign Diallo due to an injury and the time it's gonna take for him to recover and then fly out. So they're looking at Reiss Nelson on loan instead. So we will sign Diallo, Collado, Dembele and all will be good.I think it's fare to say that this is probably another pie in the sky non event, as was Diallo and one or two others

Do you think his recent signings were helpful to the Club and a reason for letting the manager that brought them in carry on regardless? In other words when they made it clear they no longer trusted him and began to interfere with his management of the club. Thus undermining his authority.

Do you let him further decimate the club just because he got us promoted twice? I can see why you don’t own football clubsIn other words when they made it clear they no longer trusted him and began to interfere with his management of the club. Thus undermining his authority.

Yeah I’m not reading all that bollocks. Well done or not well doneDecimate? Fucking hilarious!!!
You’re right, we should have not bought any new players when in the premier league and just stuck with leon, k Freeman, and the rest.
Easy eh.
Reality-
Option 1- Get rid of two thirds of those who got us up, ripping up the system that got us up in the first place and relegating those to reserves. Issues being the cost of finding ready made Premier quality players to both buy and pay wages of and needing them to get to grips and integrating into a system to get results immediately, plus the amount of time being small to find them all.
Option 2- do Nothing, just stick with what we had and hope we stay up. Bank the monies and set the club up.
Issue being we need no injuries otherwise we have some right poor quality coming in and we end up being embarrassed.
Option 3- Stick with the majority of the first team, strengthen with a few at lower prices and future value that can learn the system, and hope they raise their level. Try and get one or two top players in key areas. Issue- Risk, you’re spending and hoping the scouting and assessments are right, and also hoping the majority can pull it off while the others get to grips.
We went option 3, and it worked right up to the point we lost JOC and had no other way to replace, and the remaining players suddenly started dropping away alarmingly.
Fact remains we needed to be a yo-yo club for 4-4 seasons before we became established, and having brought it top champ players we would have been that.
All we did was a complete reset without anywhere near the funds to start again.
We’ve been here before….you may not remember Robson!!! The theory was sound…change the archaic system and get us playing footy…the issue was we picked Robson to implement and didn’t have the money to do it. Different owner now….same outcome approaching!!
